    Pull the bolt, the firing pin just kinda floats in there, no spring and no disconnect,could be gunked up or damaged , you can get a new FP for about 20 bucks,, I changed mine when I got it,, great guns Having no disconnect makes them able to slam fire,, which is mucho fun

    Welcome to the old school club,I hunt with a Stevens 5100,when I got mine i stripped it gave it an oil bath and have been shooting the heck out of it , I always feel like Elmer Fudd walking thru the field with it,,,it's great:D
