That $1,000 would buy you a mid-level AR now, with no optics, sling, or ammo (I'm choosing the AR because it's a very popular platform currently). So if that's what your opinion is based on, I must disagree.
Very nice! I just got back from the range with my buddies 1991 Remington 870. He wants to sell it, so I may just be adding another gun soon.
I can't wait to go try trap/skeet shooting, looks like it should be a lot of fun.
I have a crossman quest 1000, and I think it would and could take out a racoon, ans with only one pump per pellet. It shoots a .177 caliber pellet at nearly 1000 fps.
This commercial just came on as i clicked on this thread, it isn't directly anti-gun, but it makes its point. Also, i was watching the show cops, and it seems as if they purposely make guns look like weapons of mass destruction, through editing and such.
I'm not sure if you could sue or not, as I'm not an attorney. Though I agree that the melting of guns is a loss of money, and as stated before possibly historical value, which could be used to support the police department.
To Kill A Mockingbird portrays gun owners as good people, in my opinion, better than the more recent movies do. Though that was placed in a different time period than most of the recent movies.
