A (very) small victory for NY

How'd that work out with the big city lib from Chicago?

Transport handgun into NY for repairs?

I think a lot of people forget there's a great big beautiful state attached to that city.

This is a great point, and in my mind makes the semi-auto vs. revolver reliability argument, a little bit more muddy.

    Concealed Carry in Business Attire

The Supertuck is designed to tuck your shirt over the gun and inside the clips inside the waist band. When done correctly it looks like a normally tucked in dress shirt. Carry the gun at a forward cant, behind the hip, tuck your shirt between the gun and waist band, and blouse your shirt just a...

    Lock Trouble

Me either, but that's what I've got. I love the gun without the lock. It's very concealable, lightweight, it's a 357, and I shoot it well. I even like the factory grips.

    Lock Trouble

Actually I was referring to the risk of having to defend the removal of the lock if you ever have to appear before a jury. Mine always goes in the safe when it's not in my pocket.

    Lock Trouble

Well, I took the lock out of my 340PD and of course it works perfectly now. During the process in examining how the lock works, I was shocked. I can't believe S&W would incorporate such a poor design in a handgun designed to be used for self defense. The way that the lock mechanism is supposed...

    I am a nice guy. I won't tell. I do have a pretty nice Model 60. 1988 I believe.

    Lock Trouble

I think I'll take that advice. It's certainly not doing me any good as is, and even if it makes another trip to S&W and they "fix" it, it would be nearly impossible for me to trust it enough to carry it again. It could just be that a 13oz fire-breathin 357 is not the best idea. So I'll take...

    Lock Trouble

I guess they didn't fix it. I haven't even fired the gun since receiving it back from S&W, but when I went to dry-fire it this evening, it locked up again. Maybe they missed something? I think this is going to settle it for me.

Does the military follow the 4 rules?

I appreciate your input. I really didn't know what to make of it.

Does the military follow the 4 rules?

I'm an airline pilot, and am used to seeing the public perceive danger where there is none, so I wasn't about to raise a fuss over this. I was just surprised they were doing this in public, and was wondering to what extent they follow the 4 rules.

Does the military follow the 4 rules?

The thing is I am not in the military, and I wasn't participating in force on force training.

Does the military follow the 4 rules?

The spot where they were set up was at a point where the street turns 90 degrees. They were set up so as to be covering both streets, in an L shape, so to speak. He wasn't tracking me as I ran by, but he would have been aiming my direction all the way up the street as I ran toward him. I wasn't...

Does the military follow the 4 rules?

I live about a mile from my local airport, and I like to go running there because there are lots of level quiet streets to run on. There is a National Guard unit based there, as well as a Marine C130 unit. Today while I was running I was approaching a group of buildings on a public street...

    Lock Trouble

Does anyone know if there have been any problems with the modified lock design? Also, if I were to take the side plate off, would the new part be easily recognized?

I suppose it can't hurt to have both.

    Lock Trouble

I think I am going to give serious consideration to selling the 340PD and acquiring an LCR. Never, ever thought I would say that.

    M&p 340

Might get rid of my 340PD Here's a thread I started in the Revolver forum: http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=663338 My 340PD locked up on me, and I sent it back to Smith & Wesson for repair. The jamming seemed related to the integral lock, but they replaced the hand, with no...
