odd question here, but what I'm looking to do is not to clean the gun per se, but sanitize. it is a used gun and i'd like to make sure it is properly sanitized from a bacteria removal perspective. i sure as heck aint gonna throw it in the dish washer, so wanted to see what you guys recommend...

I'm fairly new to 'vintage rifles' (K31, Mauser, SKS, etc) and wanted to get a better idea for some of the more desirable vintage rifles that can shoot sub moa without much work needing to be done. Price range would be helpful, and pictures welcomes :)

Is one more accurate than the other? I would almost think the non-tactical sps is more accurate, or easier to control at least with the slightly longer barrel. trying to decide which would make the better long range bench shooting rifle.

Can someone outline the exact differences between these two rifles? the Remington site does not have details on the SPS tactical. Aside from the barrel being 20" instead of 24", I was wondering what other differences there are. Any noticeable differences in accuracy?

The Remington 700 SPS in .308 would set me back about $600. The 5R goes for about $1100 where I am due to high demand. For ones who have owned both, how much of an accuracy difference have you experienced out of the box between the two rifles with similar rigs, shooting at similar distances...
