So this is what I went with...

Basically a pouch that has a zipper...and then velcro to add additional ammo on the outside. Got one for my AR and my Shotgun.
I could have sworn i saw a "portable" cleaning kit that slid on the sling and was water resistant...the reason I ask is because I had to remove my fixed rear sight to allow a 3x magnifier to fit in front of my eotech...however, i'd like to find a way to carry it with the gun and be able to...
i have an armalite ar15 with collapsable stock, eotech redot. I'm curious...does anyone have a recommendation for a pouch or way to store extra batteries and maybe even a few tools (i.e. allen wrench, etc.). Does anyone use anthing mounted on the buttstock or even on the sling they use for...
what do you guys think about this? remington 700 ADL in 30-06 with nikon buck master 3x9x40 scope for $425. Overall the gun is in fairly good condition with some minor scratches, some peeling paint around the trigger guard and some minor rust.
Thoughts?
yeah, i think i'm just going to bite the bullet (pun intended) and buy a new savage 10fcp in 308. I've looked in so many different places saving a few bucks doesn't seem worth it. my luck i'll buy the new one and find a deal the next day though. :)
in .308 or 30-06. Not a collectible but something that is in decent condition and shoots well...however, i'm not having any luck finding any real good prices out there...i've been on gunbroker, gunsamerica, etc...but just haven't found anything that would (to me) feel worth paying a little less...
wow...I didn't even think of that angle...that's why I love this form :) . So I did some research...his great grandpa (on my wife's side) was on the USS North Carolina that supported the Marines during Guadalcanal...it looks like during that campaign the Springfield M1903A3 was used...his great...
I know pretty much nothing about older rifles/value/what to look for, etc. I would like to purchase one for my young son and keep it for him until he is old enough to enjoy and appreciate it. Can someone point me to a book/good internet reading/etc. that can kickstart this process for me...
Ummmm....so if he's carrying it in his pocket...WITHOUT a holster....and is unfortunately untrained enough to put his hand in and adjust it by using the trigger...what makes you think he would have been so conscious about safety to actually USE the external safety?
I just got the new m&p 22lr. I love it because the ergonomics so closely match my 9mm version. If needed I'd feel comfortable carrying it. Nice accuracy. Very nice actually.
