i think the gun is a USP 45. He said it sold new in the 800.00 range. I will see the gun Tuesday so i don't really know which gun it is. When he retired from the Police Department they aloud him to buy his gun for $75.00. So I'm thinking if this gun is a USP 45, that I've found new on the web...

Anyone have a Heckler and Kock 45 ? Don't know the model #. Retired cop is sell the gun. I know nothing about H &K. Some opinions would sure help with the possible purchase.

I think the main reason for longer barrels is accuracy.

Thanks Hexidismal, When i look down the barrell you can see the powder build up where the bullet enters the barrel, not just a little its a lot ! Also the cylinder looks like the start of corrison to me. Glad i asked the question and thanks much for the reply. I'll move on to another gun...
