Wow! Into page 6 and never saw my one and only.
7.62x40WT. .223 or 5.56 brass cut down to 40mm with a 110-150 gr. .308 bullet. Bill Wilson of Wilson Combat did a lot of load developement and sells the dies, barrels, and brass on his store's website. Very similar to 300 Blackout, but smaller...
That's the way I do it. Set 20 or 30 up in an ammo holder and spray lube. Set it up close to the main source of brass for the press, and use one of the lubed ones every tenth or twelth cycle.
I would definitely try out IDPA. Just advise them that this is your first time and don't tell them the way you shoot. Listen to the match director and safety officers. They are only there to keep everyone safe and insure the rules are followed. Once they see that you are safe handling your...
I am a big fan of IonBond DLC (Diamond like coating). I have my 4th 1911 at my gunsmith's prepping for that very finish. The first gun that I bought with it already was about 2 and half years and 3000 rounds old, and the finish was indistinguishable from new. It looks like a really nice blue...

My pin method for rifle brass: decap, trim and/or anneal(if necessary), lube, size, wet tumble, prime, charge, seat, & shoot.
I also use the lanolin & alcohol formula.
Saw this guy on the Blue forum, Not all firearms, but beautiful engraving.

Might also look into safe rooms; i.e. tornado reinforced shelter intallation companies. That still wont help you with the vault door, but the may know a guy.;)
I agree with country rebel.
This made a world of difference in mine and is a very cheap fix. Invest in the XD tear down & re-assembly video while your at it and you should have no problems. A great trigger and video reference for ~$70.00.
