    9mm Loads for XDm Compact

It's doing both. Sometimes the empty gets stuck halfway out. Sometimes the next round won't feed properly and the slide hangs. I am wondering if I should increase the powder weight by .1 or .2 g. The recoil spring is very tight and may just need more push than it's getting out of 4.1g.

I have probably put two or three hundred factory rounds through the gun.

    9mm Loads for XDm Compact

My current load is 4.1g of 231. Just got back from the range and same old problem. Sometimes the action will work fine for two or three rounds and then I get stove piped on the next few. Frustrating.

    9mm Loads for XDm Compact

Hi Guys, I bought this pistol new a while back and I am having problems developing a load that will reliably cycle the action. I have been using W231 in various weights under a 115 grain Berry's round nose. Been loading with COL at 1.5". Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks...

    Suggestions for .223 using H4198

I recently purchased some Sierra 65g Gamekings. Neither the Hodgdon website nor any of my manuals give suggested powder weights for that weight of bullet. I am using H4198 (I know that it's not the best powder for a .223 but it's the only one I can get). Does anyone know what would be a good...

New to Lead...anything I should know

I just did a quick survey of the bullets. They are .356. I am shooting Springfield Arms XDm. I have been loading Berrys 115g with 4.5g of 231 and the slide cycles just fine with that load. Do you recommend going higher for this lead?

New to Lead...anything I should know

By mistake, I picked up a batch of cast lead 115g 9mm bullets (round nose). They measure .350 at the base. Anything that I need to know before seating/shooting them? Thanks. Historian

    Am I doing Something Wrong?

I recently purchased a Hornady OAL guage to measure the chamber on my .223 Bushmaster Varminter. After using it several times and getting the same result, I determined the the bullet jump on this rifle is nearly 1"??? Am I doing something wrong? The rifle is very accurate but this seems like...

    Turret press

I have a Rockchucker that I've been using or a few years now and wanted a press that would process pistol rounds more efficiently so got to looking at turret presses. I liked the RCBS video so I bought one. I still have my Rockchucker which I use for precision seating of rifle rounds but I...

    case lube spray- which brand?

Something that discovered on this forum and have been using on my turret press...the RCBS lube die. It puts just the right amount of lube on .223 cases so the they size easily but are not all messy. I have been using Imperial but I can really recommend this tool. It would probably work well...

    RCBS Turret Headbolt Problem

Does anyone know of a way to keep the turret headbolt from backing out as I move the turret head back and forth between stations? As I move the turret from decap/sizing to charging to seating and then back, the bolt gets loose and the turret head develops more and more play. Is there a way to...

dumb question on .223 case length and chamber

All trimming will do is shorten the neck of your brass. To determine if it will chamber, you need to look at the location of the shoulder as well as neck length. Historian

    RCBS Turret - Opinions

Thanks guys. I am still going to continue to load rifle rounds on my rockchucker using the Forster Competition seating die. I'm going to use the turret for pistol only. It just seems a lot quicker and easier to load them on a turret without going to the expense of buying a true progressive...
