hah this is easy. Neither of my front doors work anymore... The carjacker would definitely need the jaws off life to get to the front or try to hop in the locked back seat. I suppose he could shoot me through the window but when he tries to get in he'll be in for an unpleasant surprise. And yes...
Steve,
The first system you linked to is the same one I have. Works great, and I enjoy the feature of having it call my cell phone when there's an alarm. I got it at homesecuritystore.com and also recommend them--great customer service.

It sounds like you're referring to a stand-alone door alarm, not something that is part of a system? If so, I looked around and found this, which does have a delay setting:

Not sure if that's what you're looking for, but...
I alternate between a Kahr PM-9 and a Sig 239. I've trained more with the Sig, but sometimes attire leads to the Kahr. Both go bang on a trigger pull without any safeties, and I am confident with both. I do feel that the Sig offers more "offensive" capabilities in a defensive situation, though.
I use a VoiceAlert system to monitor the driveway and entry points at my home. You can record a specific message for each sensor, so you know which one was tripped. For example, when someone approaches our front door, I hear "someone's out front," which is recorded in my voice. I've used mine...
Anything aimed at a reactionary target--e.g. steel poppers, spinners, silhouettes, clay targets etc.. :) I love to hear and see immediate feedback. It would be hard for me to choose one gun, since there are many options for reactionary targets.
Kentak,
Your generous offer just prompted me to quit being lazy and join the NRA (which I just did online). There aren't many sites that have posters who would make such an offer, so I thought I would honor you by doing what your tag line suggested. :)
