Need help selecting the right CCW...

I prefer the Ruger LCP. It's not the most pleasant pistol to shoot, but that's not the reason I carry it. This gun disappears in my pocket. Another option is the Beretta Tomcat in .32 ACP. This is a great little pistol with a lot of features for one-handed operation. Here's a review I did of...

    Glock 17 vs. Beretta 92FS

What is your purpose for the pistol in question? Range time, concealed carry, etc? If this pistol is for CCW, I'd choose the Glock, but not a G17-too big. I would opt for the G19 or G26 and carry full-size G17 mags for back-up. If you're looking for something else, the Beretta is a great...

So who all has or is going to get a Ruger Charger pistol?

I'd like to get one, but not until the price is similar to a 10-22. That's what it is after all, a shortened 10-22 with the butt of the stock removed. Why is it priced appx $100 higher than a 10-22?

    Ok.... what is an SKS?

Can't tell you where to find $150 SKS rifles, everyone around my neck of the weeds is selling for $225-325. Regarding ammo- internet ditributors are selling 1K rounds of imported 7.62x39 for less that $200 shipped. One thing I've noticed about the SKS is that is seems to be built for...

    the beretta tomcat (.32)

I like mine... I've put about 175 rounds through it. No problems except the rear sight was loose when I bought it. A little locktite fixed that. I've read others mention that if it's needed in a defensive scenario, go for face shots because good COM penetration may be difficult.

    Ray-o-vac tac lights

Spooky, That's kind of ironic, because I've sometimes noticed the 3 watt is too bright- flip it on then off in very low light, and my older eyes take a bit to readjust. I say get them both!

    FAL non-threaded flash hider/compensator

Is anyone making one for the FAL? I've seen them for AR-15 type rifles, but not the FAL. I'd like one that slips tightly over the end of the barrel and is held in place by set-screws. Here's the barrel I'm working with:

    Kansas Gun Confiscations

Maybe you doubting Thomas' should do your homework before you go accusing someone of Patricia's integrity of being a liar. The reason it's come up so many times is because a lot of folks are trying to pretend it didn't go down that way. Well, guess what? It's going to keep coming up until...

    Ray-o-vac tac lights

Deer Hunter, I've dropped mine several times, kicked it, and let my kids play with it in the bathtub. I have not had any problems. I'm not a rich man (financially), so I won't be performing any 'push to failure point' tests with mine. I've seen the Maglite version and like other mags, it...

Don't forget about LED headband flashlights. Don't forget about LED headband flashlights. We had an ice storm a couple years back that left us with no power for 4 days. That's when I discovered the value of the headband lights. I have the Energizer model and the Brinkman. While the...

    Ray-o-vac tac lights

This is also my favorite flashlight. So much so, that I made this pic :D ... 38 bucks seems kinda steep though. Mine came from Walmart, $24.95 for the 3 watt version and $19.95 for the 1 watt version. I use Energizer rechargable NiMH AA batteries and the 15 minute charger. Beats the...
