Best thing for a glock mag (or any thick mag) is a Gerber knife holster. no one questions it. wear it on the opposite side of your gun arm and practice with it. if you ever need a second mag you'll need it fast. and you better already have an exit planned.

have you shot a Glock23? its a smaller frame then standard (a beauty to carry) but a bit more punch then the 9mm. (better for defence) it also doesent jump outa your hands like the 45 can. also for a first gun?? its pretty much indestructable. you can get them in the high 4's
