Dell as a company is fairly liberal and anti-2A rights (has the no-guns signs posted at all entrances - not the legal 30.06 signs, just the ones that keep the employees from carying), but I have never known them to intentionally stop shipment to legal companies who want to purchase a computer...
I am seeing conflicting information in various locations around the web for when the Temple Gun Club holds its IDPA matches. Some say 1st Saturday and some say 3rd Saturday. I have tried emailing the contacts on the website, but have yet to get any answer back. Does anyone here know the...
For the past few months I have used a Galco Glove ankle holster for my S&W 642 and it has worked great. Comfortable and perfect retention with the thumb break - I think that is a requirement for an ankle holster even though I am perfectly comfortable with a belt holster without one. So I...
If you have no way to defeat the goblin, yeah. Running is better than sitting there. If you have the means/will to fight back then I say take that.
Although I couldn't open the provided link for some reason so I am just going off of the part you copied.
Waffen - were you by chance at a range that has the initials HCRR? If so, that guy (owner) is a very well known loon and is usually called Crazy Richard. Just gotta agree with everything he says or the witches will steal another range. And it is a pretty good range...
If you are up in the Cedar Park area - this is my FAVORITE shop anywhere in town. Great counter folks (owner and 1 other). I actually stop by to shoot the breeze more often than I buy stuff there, but I sure do buy enough there as well. Mainly self defense type stuff as opposed to hunting...
It is things like this that scare me.
Once convicted, I have no problem with loss of license (and much more). But to be punished for the accusation really rubs me the wrong way.
What about conversion kits?
I picked up my 97 yesterday and I would LOVE to pick up a conversion kit and make it a .45ACP / 10mm dual gun. Talk about being the ideal gun combo and platform for a 10mm full size.
S&W does use only a trace amount of scandium/titanium in the aluminum portions of their guns, but that trace is really expensive and really does make the alloy much stronger and harder to work with. So don't think you are paying for a 100% Sc/Ti gun because you aren't. You (or at least I)...
Kileen isn't bad - but it really is just the civilian side of Ft. Hood. I have a cousin there and live in Leander (about 45 minutes away) and get to visit him often. There is lots of good stuff about the area, but green and pretty it isn't. Not too far away is though.
Ditto on checking with the doc.
But I have a friend who had one installed last week and the doc put it on the right (they normally go on the left) because he shoots some HEAVY rifles (.416 Rigby and the like) left handed and this would allow him to keep shooting them. I don't know how long...
I agree with the 3 Six Flags being on that list of automatically not-CCW friendly. I don't think that SeaWorld is automatically on that list though as it is under the size requirement (by like half an acre).
I wonder if Sea World would answer a direct question on this front...
Based on my CCW class this past December:
Not all Amusement parks have that rule. In fact the law was very specifically written to only include the Six Flags owned parks (size of the city they are in, acerage of the park, ...). Sea World didn't want in on that deal and it is legal to carry...
