First revolver GP100 or model 28-2

If you are looking for a range gun that will see a lot of use, either of those weapons will do you fine. My personal preference would be toward the Model 28. You can always buy a Ruger example later on, as they still make them, but if you have a chance to pick up a good condition Model 28 jump...

What Was the Standard Issue FBI Revolver in the 50's?

I took the tour in 1993. The agent doing our tour used a model 13 Smith, and a semi auto, but I can't recall which one, my brain keeps telling me it was a SIG, but I was enthralled with the Model 13. Even as a kid I fixated on revolvers. I do remember him shooting an MP5 in the same manner...

S&W 386 Sc Mountain Lite Holster

I like my 386 Mountain Lite but recoil can be fierce. You get used to it but it was eye opening at first. I am thinking about selling mine since I got a 386PD for my birthday and I plan on buying a 386 Night Guard. If it were not for that, I would continue to use it as my main carry piece.

    Do you carry a reload?

In jeans I usually carry two speed strips in my offside back pocket. In cargo shorts or pants (shorts more often in AZ) I carry at least two speed loaders, if not more, in the offside cargo pocket.

Buffalo Bore Heavy .44 Mag - Are They Kidding?

I have some for my Redhawk 4 inch. Or should say had. I fired two out of mine. Emptied the cylinder loaded the unfired back in the ox, and gave it to a friend with a long barreled Super Redhawk. Those aren't playing around loads for sure. And for me to say the recoil is bad says a lot...

    4" Redhawk or 5" 629 Classic?

My 4 inch redhawk looks identical to Legionnaire's pistol. I got some wood grips ASAP for mine and am very pleased with it. It is my hip gun for hiking in the wilds here in AZ, and carries pretty nicely in a simply rugged holster. I have a friend with a Smith Mountain Gun and it is nice, but...

    S&W Night Guard

I am picking up a 386NG to compliment my 386 Mountain Lite. The shorter barrel and fixed night sites make it more desirable to me for primary carry. I will probably buy a 396 because I like 44 Special also.

Scandium?? No - thank - you!!

My daily carry is a 386 Mountain Lite Scandium alloy Smith and Wesson. I carry Remington Golden Saber 125gr JHPs in mine. I have found that the load shoots to point of aim with little adjusting of the sights. I find the recoil brisk, but I want to know that when I bet my ass on pulling the...
