    Proper shotgun mounting and stance?

Thanks for the help everyone, sorry that I was vague on the info. It is a standard 18" Mossberg 590 5 shot, with the factory stock and pad. I am also right handed, and right eye dominate. I know this because I've been shooting for a long time pistol and rifle, I just never got down to using...

    Proper shotgun mounting and stance?

So this topic is a little embarrassing due to my lifelong pistol and rifle experience. However, I just cannot seem to get the shotgun stance and mount correct. No matter where I place my shotguns on my shoulder shooting is pure agony. Even after five 3" shells I end up bruised up like crazy. My...

    1911 help

Now, are you assuming that dressing your 1911 up as your military friend does will make you or the gun a better shooter? The best advice I can give is to find which accessories match your shooting style, and which work best for you. Even better, if you want to shoot as good as they do, forget...

Beretta M9 with Hogue rubber fingergroove grips= Good Stuff!

I bought a pair of Hogue grips for my 92FS a couple months ago. After about 300-400 rounds I realized I simply shot better with thinner factory panels. So I have since removed them, but they feel great if you have larger hands.

What type of ammo is this?

I'm 99% sure it's Pow'r Ball, since I don't recall Corbon making Safety Slugs. I'm not too sure about the STI Spartan to be honest, but I'd assume as long as you don't feed it a constant diet of +P ammo it should be just fine.

Rec. a good 9mm non +p round for SD

I keep my 92FS loaded with Federal HST 124gr. It's the latest design, and it sells for 23-24 for 50 rounds, which is a great price.

    How often to clean

I clean my firearms every time I fire them, no exceptions. I'm very particular about the process too, I'm getting to the point (despite being a new shooter) that I don't even like to use the all-in-one CLP cleaners.

    Thinking about getting a kimber

I cannot say Kimbers are terrible, I don't own one after all. However, half this community would agree there are better 1911's out there for less money. If I were to buy a 1911 in the 750-1200 range it would be a Springfield, or Colt. http://www.full-auto.org/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=54

Why the M9 and not the Hi-Power?

Well sir, sorry for all of your confusion. I simply referred to our hand sizes to make a point that not everyone in the military has your hand size. I don't tend to take gun snobbish remarks lightly, a pistol is not inferior because it doesn't fit your hand, wasn't designed for you. With the...

Why the M9 and not the Hi-Power?

Funny, I could have swore we were talking about the military. With your irrelevant cheap shot aside, I wasn't saying the Hi-Power lacks ALL of these features, I was just saying it lacks a few of them. The military is obsessed with the concept that DA/SA is much safer than that of a SAO pistol...

Why the M9 and not the Hi-Power?

Well, you have to look at some of the things the military wants in a sidearm... -Manual Safety -DA/SA -Squared Trigger Guard -Hi Cap Mag (13 rounds in 9mm doesn't cut it anymore) -Cheap manufacturing costs The Hi Power felt alot better in YOUR hands. There are plenty of people out there (me)...

    92FS Rail Adapters

My 92FS is my bedside gun, but I'd really like to have a rail for a TLR-1. Are these 92FS rail adapters any good? Do they stay in place without marring the finish? http://store.tradingpostsupply.com/intcfl600.html
