Summer time is here...would you carry a Mak for self defense?

Smith J frames don't have a 44 model To fit a 44 caliber cartridge into the small cylinder of the J frame would only be able to hold four shots, instead of five 38s or 357s.

    S & W model 29 Mountain Gun

I think that I found a good deal on this gun, but I have heard that it recoils almost as bad as the 329PD. I would love to have new blued Smith so if anyone has any experience with a 29 or 629 Mountain Gun please reply.

    Most Reliable 1911

Springfield is Reliable I bought a SS Springfield Loaded in December. I have put 3700 rounds through this gun. It has never malfunctioned. NEVER. I enjoy shooting guns far more than I like cleaning guns, so I won't even try to tell you that I keep my gun clean. I have owned a Gold Cup...

    Most accurate .40 and .45?

The most accurate 45 will be a 1911. Not all 1911s are configured to be very, very accurate, but most manufacturers of mid to high-end guns produce 1911s will shoot 1.5 to 2 inch groups at 25yds. Almost any gun with a 5" barrel produced by Kimber, SA, Wilson, ParaOrd, Les Baer, Dan Wesson...

SA MILSPEC If you are used to carring a 1911, why would you choose a lessor platform

New from Springfield Armory: the Even Milspeccer!

If SA is producing these replica guns (minus the MSH & LCI), you can bet it will be far closer to the original GI gun than the pistol that Colt issued as a GI gun. (The Colt GI Version 02) The Colt costs twice as much as as Springfields version and has a plastic MSH. PLASTIC

    What's Your Excalibur?

A Ruger MKII with walnut grigs and a thumbrest is about as good as it gets for stock panels. I don't think that this discussion is about 22s though, so my vote will have to go to my BHP, followed closely by the 1911

    Current daily carry

I have carried a 1911 and or a BHP (CCW) for 16 years. I usually carry some type of pocketknife. Can someone please explain to me the use of a "tactical" knife? If you can't kill someone with a pistol, I guess you will pull out the trusty tactical folder and finish the job that the gun...

    Browning High Power question

The BHP is probably the most popular military service pistol in active duty in the world. The fact that Glocks are more in fashion than BHPs has a direct correlation that video games are more in fashion than billiards. The P35 also has a single action trigger that most police departments...
