the gun and two mags ( 15rd not 10rd ) should be in the low to mid 400
with three extra mags, 500 or less
you can get a new one for 551. from buds.
just my opinion.
Don't forget about a good gun belt, stay away from plastic inserts :banghead: (IMO).
with a good gun belt you will never notice 10 or 15 more ozs.
but you can't go wrong with a glock 36, I'm a sucker for a 45.
most of the snaps that you will find on belts are not strong enough to take every day carry. The good news is if you find one that you like but it has snaps, find a saddle shop or a belt guy at a flea market and get them to put chicago screws in place of the snaps. IMO stay away form 5.11 belts...
If your wife likes the grip on a sig she might not like the 1911, I think my wife is crazy but she loves the grip on HER sig 220 and hates my 1911. take your wife to the store with you and let her find the gun she wants, then you don't have to listen to her gripe about the gun you picked out :D...
Turn the pin to six o clock ( just like you removed it ), then push down the small spring inside with the end of the pin, and push it back in. it will take a little force.
Congrats, you should be pleased. Don't listen to any of the bad press on any of the boards about the sigma (most of them have never even shot one). It's amazing they go bang when you pull the trigger, and they still complain :cuss:.
what's up with the kimber haters, I have a base line custom 2 with around 3k of mixed ammo and the only ammo it does not like is blazer brass ( after 50 rounds it looked like an all day affair with bullseye powder :cuss: ) . I'd put my butt on the line any day with that gun.
slamfire1, if you dont like C&L then give the para LDA a try, the one that I gave a try had a sweet double pull and I have not heard anything bad about the system. and yes I carry a 5" kimber if I have to use it I want the best thing I shoot. who cares if it only holds 7 or 8 you can always...
I got a cannon from Tractor supply for 699, I love it. it was the best I could find in the 1000.00 and under cat. just make sure to look for ratings that are from outside orgs, not from the company! if you dont know look for the rating stickers on the inside of the door.
Dstoke,
First of all watch out for gun store advice!!! Give the S&W Sigma a chance if you can put your hands on one it runs $299. a full size gun is not hard to conceal in a IWB holster. the barrel length is not an issue with concealment, I carry a full size 1911 90% of the time. small...
I'm not shure what style IWB you want, I have a galco summer comfort for my kimber 5in. it's almost a copy of the milt sparks summer spl. and it's only $55 with no 6to 8 week wait:banghead:. BTW it is the most comfortable holster I have found yet.
Don't count out a good single stage from lee. I started out with the Lee Challenger kit, you can get it for $80.00 or so then all you need is a set of dies and a manual. don't let the price fool you the stuff from lee is a good value. and when you go to a progressive the single will still get a...
