one is a british enfield in .303
the other is a very old looking remington single shot .22 that breaks into 2 pieces
I just got these yesterday. I know the 303 is a good shooter so i cant wait to try that one. The 22 doesnt look like its been fired in YEARS but I will try it out soon...
I have the kel tec in the glock 9mm config and I really like it.
but i have been thinking about picking up a hi point carbine as well.. I know a bunch of people who have them and never seen or heard of a problem with them.
WOW Great posts. I am very thankful!
I said collection.. but my collection will be used as often as possible to shoot not really looking at them as investments.
Please share any other ideas or thoughts you may have this thread really has helped me out.
btw its birthday time for me so I am...
Ok I am just starting my rifle collection. I have a glock 9mm, a keltec sub2k, a 12 gauge mossberg and a marlin .22
Now I want some rifles. I need some advice and ideas on where to start and what to get. I know this is mainly a personal choice but with so many options and factors to...
I am looking to get a new/used/old rifle. I want it to be effective out to 200yards although most shooting will be 100yards. I want to pick up 1000-2000 rounds of ammo for it. I want to purchase a 'Decent' amount of Magazines/clips for it or whatever else is necessary to ENJOY the gun...
just a note.. this isnt my fist gun. It will be my first 22. I think Id prefer a semi auto but a bolt wouldnt be too bad either.
I looked at some marlin m60's yesterday 85 bucks used no rugers new or used. Ill keep popping my head in there to see if any rugers show up.
This also will most...
yeah thats what I would like to avoid. I dont want to mess around with the gun... i want to shoot it :)
thats why I am not ruling out levers or pumps or bolt action.
This is not my first gun just my first 22. My nephew has one and wants me to get one so we can shoot 22's together..
I will...
i think i would prefer a semi auto but i would not rule out bolt action either.
Thanks for all the great posts so far!
I started my research into .22 's looking into the mossberg plinkster but after reading some reviews decided to stay clear. That lead me to the marlin's and then the ruger...
Looking into the ruger now.
I have to say i would rather a gun that feeds and shoots more consistently then a cheaper gun that I have to unjam a lot at the range.
The price of the ruger is not out of my range. Are there a lot of accessories for the ruger?
I want to pick up a 22. I will use it for range time only. No hunting.
I would like it to be cheap, not a high end target gun. I would like it to be reliable/long lasting and somewhat easy to clean/maintain. Options to add accessories would be nice.
Thanks all feedback is greatly appreciated.
I was at the range in archabald today for some early morning plinking. Great fun. Very windy but real nice.
I plan on going to sunset hill in the next week or so and making another trip or two out to archabald in the next week.
In the short term I really hope to find a gun club I can join. I am just not sure which ones around me are open to new members. There is one in wilkes barre and one in factoryville both are relative close to me and I will look into both of them.
Thanks Guys!
I will call the place in wilkes and the place out near Brodheadsville. I new there was a range out there but I thought it was at a different shop.
I realized I just need to purchase some land that I can shoot on and set up my own lil range.
Thanks I appreciate it.
Those public ranges close at dusk correct?
I heard there was an indoor shooting range near tannersville but I havent found it online or anything just yet.
