I have 400 in my newer 10/22 and it will shoot .3s @50 and sometimes better. thats just a trigger reworked bbl and some minor action parts. did all the work myself. its like building an old truck onto a hot rod. you do it yourself or with your kids have fun and in the end you put more money into...
I had a factory bbl cut down to 16 1/2 " recrowned rechambered and hand lapped, which by the way is necessary when you cut one down, for 120$ shoots .3" groups at 50yards and weights less than factory bbl but looks factory. by the way thats ".3" " groups thats tight enough for me
I'm shooting a browning 222. Loaded with hornady 50gr vmax, 23.1gr H322 3000 fps +/- I'm not positive on the rate of twist but I'm leaning toward 1n14. I noticed the other day that the holes in the target were not nice n round like they were before.. Any one have any Ideas as to how I can fix...
It's just a 700 with a different finish should shoot just like any model 700 featuring the same bbl. I looked at one and thought about buying it but spent too much on other things ( 700 varmit stainless fluted 220 swift ):)
If I decide to go 308 in a remington, What is the best platform to start with?
1. Plain jane varmint model
2. Police or new tactical models
3. Laminated varmint model
Anyone tried or bought the new Browning A bolt Target in 300wsm? I'm considering building a gun to start shooting long range with. I have a stainless stalker in 300wsm and love it. It's either that or build up a remington in 308. I'm just more familiar with the 300wsm and have all the reloading...
I've seen this guy on tv. He hand lathes every bullet brass and tip. He even shot it a few times. Looked like he got hit by a linebacker at full run. My 12g 3 1/2 inch Turkey loads are enough for me.
I have to say I"m glad the owner had a chance to buy it back. I know I own many sentimental guns and would probably break down into tears if ten years after they were stolen they made there way back to me. An expensive gun tends to hurt a lil more
I have all three in different calibers. The browning fits the best for me. Trigger is light and with a timney trigger spring adjust down to 2 lbs very easily. savage will do the same and new remingtons get close. so I think trigger is not an issue due to how easy it is to adjust all 3 of them...
Jim,
I got the gun from someone who bought it from a gun show along with another gun. He pawned the other gun and it flagged stolen. So when they asked him about it he told them where he got the guns from and who and how many. Both guns had been stolen 10 years ago and the insurance company...
I don't know if I missed an explination in one of the posts but if someone owes me 500 and offers me a gun worth a lot more I have to ask myself
1. If that person knows how much it is worth?
2. If he does is it possible it was not obtained through legal means?
I've got myself into this...
