i carried in a shoulder holster , the problem you have is a 4 inch barrel is hard to hide in a horizontal shoulder holster. the bianchi x 15 is one of the best vertical holsters made and it doesnt have an x rig shoulder strap . very comfortable holster .

on the plainfield carbine the parts will interchange with a military carbine . the iver johnson will not .ive had two plainfields and both were reliable, dont know the date of manufacture.

for anyone who has never encountered rimlock,after your first shot( it might not be on the first shot) the next round trying to chamber locks on the rim of the one below. the round trying to chamber moves partially forward but not up. the gun is jammed and in most cases it will take two hands...

i had an early 380 backup, with the thumb safety. it was reliable with ball ammo, but everytime i took it out of my pocket the safety was off. i couldnt trust it . sold it. plus you needed a pin punch and a hammer to disassemble it.

look for a star pd45 . as new in box is about $400. 4 inch barrel,25 ounces and 100% reliable. relatively hard to find but worth the time. dont be afraid of the colt defender, the new ones are reliable but cost about $800. i have both .
