    Will a SP101 3" fit in a K-frame holster?

SP101 is closer in size to a Colt Detective Special. I had a Milt Sparks EX Executive Companion made for the SP101 and it was just about a perfect fit for my DS. I understand that as long as its a leather holster, its OK, but a kydex holster will not work at all.

Help ID a kydex IWB holster for a G 19/23

I just got off the phone with a bud in Tucson who is a Glock nut and according to him the fish also indicates that it is an older Blade-Tech.

Help ID a kydex IWB holster for a G 19/23

I received a IWB kydex holster as part of a trade. I'm trying to ID the maker and as far as I can tell it looks like a Blade-Tech. There is no maker mark on it at all. The only markings are on the sweat guard and its marked "GL 19/23" and on the backside, the body side, there is the fish...

For your needs I think that is the best thing to do, Savage's are great rifles for the money.

Why I don't use push feed rifles for dangerous game

H&H, I agree with you completely. I lived in CA when I owned the .338 and most ranges I frequented would not allow shooting other than from the bench. The times I took it out to the "sticks", shooting from standing was least abusive, sitting was not as bad as benching but still hurt, again...

Why I don't use push feed rifles for dangerous game

H&H "I'd like to submit that if you can shoot a .338 the .375H&H should not be a problem for you. The .375H&H is very simular in recoil to the .338." I have no doubt of that, since I have shot both and a .458WinMag. As far accuracy, the .338 I used to own would shoot less than MOA with...

Why I don't use push feed rifles for dangerous game

"So, in the interests of furthering my bear hunting knowledge, what kind of rifle would you use to kill a big ole grizzly? (Make, model and caliber)" What make and model may depend on the caliber you choose. As far as calilber, the largest/powerful one you can handle accurately and...

    Survival knife: stainless or carbon?

S30V is good steel, that's why all the makers, especially for folders, are using it. One thing about S30V, it keeps an edge but once it gets dull, it's a bitch to put the edge back on. You need to use a diamond sharper. If you are out and do not carry a handy little sharpner, well you are out...

    Survival knife: stainless or carbon?

The knife I carry when I'm just out and about out here in the desert or if I'm in the mountains just scouting for game is for hunting season is a Swamp Rat Camp Tramp. It's made out of what SR calls SR101, which is nothing but 52100, it is one tough knife. Like The Tourist, my EDC pocket...

Anyone here actually USE a Randall Knife?

Justin, it was good that you did not go with the Tracker for your tracking school class and went with the Randall. I had chance to look at a Tracker today and must say it's the most stupidest looking and designed knife I have ever seen, of course that's just my opinion.

    Survival knife: stainless or carbon?

Get carbon. Like Harbinger said, take care of it and the knife will take care of you. Besides all "stainless" used in knives and guns are actually high carbon content steels so they are not corrosion proof, just resistant. Yes more resistant than carbon steel blade but they are suseptible to...

    searching for a lightweight

My favorite light rifle in my very small arsenal is a Ruger Ultralite in .250 Savage topped off with a Leopold 2X7 compact scope. I've only used it on pronghorn antelope, but it kills them well past 300 yds. with my reloads. Its too bad that this round is not more popular. I think it would...
