I have a number of guns both pistol and rifle that have had many thousand rounds run through them. They work flawlessly but a friend commented that I should replace the springs due to the high round count. Is this something that I should do or just wait until failures start?

I am looking to use JB Weld (www.jbweld.com) to buildup some areas on several guns that I do not want to weld. Anyone have experience with refinishing JB Weld? I most likely am looking to parkerize and am concerned that it either will not take or the parkerization solution will weaken JB Weld...
