    .22 LR for LESS than 5 cents/round!

That's pretty good. I just picked up some Federal at the local Academy Sports for $2.29/50 rnd box. They limit you to 10 boxes though so I could only get 500. What burns me is, go to any gun shop in town and the same box will cost you in the neighborhood of $5.

Time for a name that rifle game

Jackpot! Any thoughts on the left side charging handle? NVM, the image wasn't flipped in the first place.

Time for a name that rifle game

I was looking at it again and the pic appears to be flipped. Hence the lack of a selector lever. I flipped the image and it looks more natural. However, now the charging handle is on the left side and I still have no idea what it is. Yes, I have seen the aftermarket left hand charging...

Time for a name that rifle game

Definitely AK hand guards but the bottom of the receiver slopes up like a Valmet/Galil. It has a tubular charging handle like no ak I've ever seen. What kind of rear sight is that? I am at a loss. Here is the chicom folder I was talking about.

Time for a name that rifle game

I have tried to no avail to figure out what this rifle is. It looks like a Valmet/Galil/AK hybrid something. I also can't tell if it's a tubular stock or one of those chicom folders. Help!

    What bow are you using...

Yes, it is the Hostage rest and I do like it. I prefer it to the Whisker Biscuit because it doesn't make contact with the vanes and holds the arrow just as secure. When I first got the bow I considered swapping for a fall away rest but the Hostage seemed to work so well, I couldn't justify it...

    Tikka rifles

I have the T3 Lite/Stainless in 30.06 and LOVE it. It has, in my opinion, the smoothest factory trigger on the market. ...also, the .5 inch 100yd groups don't hurt.

If you don't mind my asking, how much $$$ would I have to lay out for a hunt like this?

    Coon hunting

Not sure how you guys do it up north. Down here in Texas you post up on a deer feeder with a spot light and wait for them. Then shoot until you run out of ammo.

    Advice for New Turkey Hunters

There are two items that every turkey hunter should use. The first being a thick camo butt pad. Preferably one with a strap that attaches to your belt. After sitting on about my fifth mesquite thorn I came to this decision.:what: So I am a little slow on the uptake... Anyway, it's also...

    What's your favorite varmint call?

This one has to be my favorite. It is a laminate cow horn/antler that was hand made for me by Thomas Haynes of Death Card Calls. It's voiced Jack rabbit and sounds amazing. He also hand turned these two for my daughter. Both one of a kind calls with a custom wrist lanyard. The large one...

Extremely bad idea: Muay Thai vs Boar.

Watch this video of a little 35ish lb javalina fighting a jaguar. Now add a few hundred pound to the pig and think about it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGLGY5zeLSM Unless you can kick a telephone pole in half, you won't incapacitate it. I promise you won't get a second shot at it.

Maybe something like the pics below? These are all farm raised but it does happen in the wild as well. Pretty rare though.

    Never hunted, but would consider

If that's all the meat you're getting then you need to find a new processor. The one you're using is robbing you. The little cull buck that my buddy shot last week (pic below) netted more than 35lb of just hamburger. Then add in the umpteen packages of round steaks, tenderloin, sirloin...

    30-30 Vs. A Hog

Wild hogs are very "dense" animals. They have thick skin and heavy bone to penetrate. I would go with a high quality heavy bullet that will retain as much of it's weight as possible. Buffalo Bore is making new 150gr and 190gr jacketed flat nose bullets for the 30-30 that should be available...

    Texas Varmit Hunters

What part of Texas are you in? If you are are up in North central, I could turn you onto a place or two that I hunt. Don't worry about cost. You should never have to pay to hunt varmints. I know a lot of people that sink big $$$ in decoys and E callers but that stuff is not necessary. I...
