I was the individual arrested. As you can imagine, the news reports are generally misleading and downplay the event. I am mentioned as having been "detained" (I was arrested), but released for "refusing to cooperate" with police.
What is not mentioned is that their idea of "cooperation"...
Holy crap! That's scary stuff...
How do we know the context that this persons comments were made in?
And they "searched his car and house"? ***? Searched by what probable cause, not breaking any law? Or did he (foolishly) consent to these searches that would be illegal if he had not...
First off, kudos to Mr. Wilbanks for doing the right thing.
Please do some research before ultimately making your decision, if any, on changing armament for your shop protection. Your quote above displays some (very, very common) misconceptions regarding 223 and buckshot effectiveness and...
Wow, another gun ignorant 'hunter'. Big surprise.
We all know the AR-15 is one of the best and widely available self defense platforms available. Many people do not. You can blame modern society and network news for that :)
Apology aside (damage control), calling it a "terrorist gun"...
I charge $15
I don't have a gun store (gunsmith) but if I did I would charge $15... I would want as many people as possible to FIND my establishment (IE: get them in the door).
Charging $50 for a transfer is the wrong way to ATTRACT customers that might need ammo, accessories, other guns...
I did receive a email reply from another professional whom stated he saw little if any increase in adhesion and wear qualities applying cerakote over park.
I have not conducted my own side-by-side tests yet but I am inclined to believe it. While I have not directly compared, I have done several...
Watched a couple episodes. Hog w/ knife and a caribou hunt.
on the latter there was a stalk where the bull was leaving in a hurry and he litterally just winged a shot in their direction as they were walking at least 45 or so yards away.
Apparently he has little self control resulting in...
As metioned, KG is definitely best applied over park. And I apply over kphos on metals that dont park (SS/al)
I do this because in my testing, with steel, I found that the best adhesion was over park, second best was kphos over alox blasting prep (close second) and last was bare blasted...
Recently started applying Cerakote.
I have always applied KG products over parkerizing where possible. Over K-Phos where not (SS, Aluminum).
It simply holds up better that way.
Now I spoke with NIC Industries regarding applying cerakote over parkerizing but they had no testing or...
Great info.
Thanks for posting. I would assume an FFL still has to be a type 7 and that SEC. 11131 only exempts the tax per firearm (if less than 50 units) ?
Of course this is correct.... I think I need to slow down at the keyboard and let my brain catch up sometime - not sure what the hell I was writing there :) Noted and corrected.
Not sure about that, that it had any more to begin with.
Besides, "spring" is not what holds the FH in time. Not needed. It's a washer]/i after all, and a crush washer at that. Not a [i]spring washer ;)
If your like most people, after seeing the reviews and praises you will eventually take a look at the Milt Sparks VMII and think - too much $.
Then a few months - a year - a few years (usually) down the road you will have tried everything and finally give up and buy a VMII only to find out...
First off, it's "NFA" (national Firearms Act) "stuff", not "class3 stuff" ;)
Just picking at you - I know everyone uses "class 3" instead of the more correct "NFA"... Kind of like clip :uhoh: vs. magazine :D
"Title 2" would be correct also. (title 1 firearms are non NFA "firearms" like...
