Starline has a LOT of ‘green dots’ in pistol brass

I've been waiting for 500 Linebaugh brass since August, I called up Star line recently asking if I coordinated a group buy would that get them to start filling orders for Linebaugh brass. Sherry told me I would need to generate about 100.000 round order to get their attention.

    Remote Gun Storage

For long guns, you could pawn them and pick them up when you need them. 25 dollar pawn would cost you about 5 bucks a month for storage.

This gun could save your dog’s life

When I was a kid hunting along the gulf coast in Texas, my bird dog went on point, as I got closer I could hear the rattle, my dog was pointing a big fat diamondback in a caliche bank. The snake, coiled and ready with tail buzzing and the dog, in a classic point, were in a trance like state...

    Brown Black Bear.

The state of Montana has a good tutorial on bear identification. https://fwp.mt.gov/hunt/education/bear-identification You get a certificate when you pass. The training was fun to do with my daughter.

    Steel shot for upland game

When hunting pheasant in areas where steel shot is required, I use 2 steel shot in a skeet choked 12 gauge. Kind of decided on 2 shot by accident as I wanted to hunt some wet lands for pheasant and had a box of number 2 under the seat of my PU. I use a flushing dog and the shots I get are often...

I really appreciate the guidance. I am now clear on what I need to do regarding this rifle.

    out if state and 4473

I was thinking a 4473 would be redundant since I had already completed one during the original transaction, so why spend 30 dollars. and I'm guessing it would create a headache trying to transfer ownership without having the owner present.

    out if state and 4473

About 40 years ago, I bought a M700 in 222 from a Texas gun store. At the time I was a resident of Texas. I gave the rifle to my dad who was also a Texas resident, as a gift. Now the rifle which is still in Texas, is being given back to me. I am no longer a resident of Texas and reside 3 states...

    03a4 rebarrel to 9.3x62

Jim Watson, thanks for the links and information. My 03A4 has rebarreled x2, restocked, reblued, and tapped. It was sporterized in the early 60's.

    03a4 rebarrel to 9.3x62

Just curious to what would rebarreling a sporterized 03a4 action rifle, from 30-06 to 9.3x62 entail. Would the magazine need modified? Would the action be long enough for feeding the heavier/longer bullets?

Old bow - is it safe?

t can't say your bow is safe but I hunt with a Herters recurve purchased in mid 60's. Over the years i have snapped two bows, both broke in the grip area. no injuries unless surprise counts.

Does anyone here have tips for a new dove hunter?

A dead tree alone in a pasture is a dove magnet. A water hole with a sloped bank at evening time works well. Weeded pastures, harvested grain or bean fields are going to hot spots. Dove are hard to hit so don't kick yourself if you have a miss. I used to look for a particular shot, to up my...

Options to recover firearm from police

In Texas, the correct way to have seized property returned is request a seizure hearing in the Justice of the Peace court that's has jurisdiction over the area where the seized property is being held. A hearing will be scheduled and you show up and tell the judge why you believed seized property...

    H&R 949 .22

I wanted to include a photo of my 949 I am so proud of; The notch in the handle does not mean what the dime novels claim. In this case it means I was careless climbing down off a rock.

    H&R 949 .22

I've had a H&R 949 since I was 15. Was given to me as payment for painting a house. It cost $49 dollars at Carter Country, but the guy threw in a nice western holster since I had to paint around his wife's rose bushes. I shot it often and carried it everywhere, it has never been babied. I...

    Old Hunting Pics

November 1968. Opening day. We ate a lot of venison. Mine was the single horn spike. He walked under a tree stand I was in with my Dad. Shot was straight down at about 10 feet.
