    Which gift would you take?

I have a standard Ruger. I've had a Remington 597. Haven't had the other 2, but I'd say the Ruger would be a good choice.

    Ruger 10/22 Hi-Cap Magazines

I don't own one, but I have read numerous times that the hi-caps from Tactical Inovations work really well. They have them in aluminum or composite. They are a little pricey. IIRC, they feature a way to tighten up a loose fit in your magwell.

DPMS LR-308T (16 inch barrel) chronograph information

Every 308 I've loaded for has shot well with 44 grns of Varget. I will probably go with 168 grn Sierra match bullets, 44 grns of Varget, and Federal match brass. That setup is about as close as I can get to Federal Gold Match. I'm hoping to have my rifle next week. Can't wait, getting excited! :D

DPMS LR-308T (16 inch barrel) chronograph information

I had to make the same decision as you. I tried to avoid the wait, so I found a dealer that had layaway and only had the 308T in stock. So, I paid him a deposit and am now waiting for Uncle Sam's stimulus payment to get the rifle in my hands. I was wondering if you had scoped yours and shot for...

    How was your gun weekend?

We had a bag of dead orphans from last weekend, so we tossed some in the pond to shoot with the pistols. (If you ever come shoot with us, don't swim in the pond bare-footed:D) Then I fired a few rounds to check the zero on my Remy model 7, just in case we decided to go coyote hunting Sunday...

    Shopping for new gun....

I'd highly recommend the XD. I've had 4, including the subcompact 40 I own right now. I think the grip angle and ergonomics on the XD make it a good handgun to start out with. If you happen to not clean it when you get home, it's no big deal. They are very robust guns that don't require alot of...

Upgrade Springer GI or buy loaded model?

Thanks for everyone's opinions. I think I'll save my nickels and dimes and get a loaded champion in stainless. I've oogled them many, many times at shows and in shops, and I think I'd like to oogle it in my hands for a change.

Upgrade Springer GI or buy loaded model?

You are a GENUIS! Why didn't I think of that. Now, will you please speak to my wife for me. :D

Upgrade Springer GI or buy loaded model?

If you bought the GI, would the parts you plan to add be the same as on the Loaded model? If you just plan to replicate a Loaded model by starting with the GI, you'd be better off saving and going with the Loaded. But if you plan to go with different sights, beavertail, etc., then the GI is the...

Upgrade Springer GI or buy loaded model?

I was under the impression that there were two "base" models: One being the GI model, the other being the Milspec, with champion, or 4 1/4" length pistols in both model lines. Maybe I need to do some more research.

Upgrade Springer GI or buy loaded model?

Alright, I need some opinions to help make up my mind. I want a Springer Champion in stainless with all the goodies on it. I work for the city and can get firearms and parts at a reduced price through my local PD. I don't have the cash on hand to buy a loaded model right now, but can maybe swing...
