    Preferred 9mm headstamp for reloading?

Thanks guys, for all the replys. I have 1k pieces of win saved back, just because they're common, just as SSN vet stated. Nice to know they're good to go. Seems I occasionally get a win stamp with a font that looks slightly different. Anyone else see that? Guess it doesn't make a difference???

Anyone here from Columbia, MO ?

As someone mentioned, the Mo Dept. of Conservation is a great resource for finding a place to hunt. I've found that you have to be selective of the state areas you hunt right around Columbia, some of them can get crowded. As far as shooting goes, Target Masters is a good indoor range where I...

Commercial reloader Couple of guys asked about the commercial reloader I sent my brass to. Sorry I didn't respond sooner, I haven't been on the site for a few days. I sent my brass to www.mastercast.net What I got was LRN. They also load HP and JRN, but prices for those two are higher...

Sold my .380, ammo hard to find, expensive

I agree with bannockburn, the supply vs. demand will eventually work out. That being said, if anyone is thinking about getting out of the 380 market, don't let me influence you. Will just leave more for the rest of us. :) I don't reload 380, so I sent my brass to a commercial reloader...

    belt rig for hd

In last month's issue of Guns Magazine, Clint Smith reviewed a product called the GO TIME Active Shooter Chest Rig by Tactical Assault Gear. Intended for exactly what is being discussed here; keeping everything together that you might need for a middle-of-the-night situation. Looks like a...

    ccw laws in Alabama

Guys, I really appreciate all the responses and the discusion on this. The overall opinion I'm gathering, is that if I just adhere to the restrictions we have her in MO, I ought to be ok in AL. I'll just lookout for posted businesses. Here in MO, if you happen to carry into a posted business...

    ccw laws in Alabama

Thanks hso, but that didn't contain any list of places I couldn't carry in AL. In MO there's a list of places like government bldgs., auditoriums with a seating capacity over a certain number, hospitals, etc. where ccw holders cannot carry. Didn't know if AL had similar restrictions. I know...

    ccw laws in Alabama

Looks like I may be working in AL for a short while, and they do recognize my Missouri ccw. Can anyone give me a link to AL's ccw laws so I know where I can and can't carry? I google searched it, and while I found lots of sites telling me I could carry there, I couldn't find a specific list of...

    Ruger lcp reassembly

Thanks a million Rex B! The trigger spring wasn't wound counter clock wise. Looks the same whether it is or isn't, so schematics wouldn't have helped. I've been fretting over this for a week. Wasn't fun, but now I know this thing inside and out.

    Ruger lcp reassembly

Does any one know where I can find detailed instructions on how to reassemble an lcp? My slide hold-open latch became stuck and I ended up removing the frame insert to get at it and free it up. After I put the frame insert back in, the trigger is held with spring pressure to the rear of the...

Gun Safe Organization - Good method or not?

All guns in my safe are unloaded, however, I heard or read somewhere that you should always store your longarms muzzle down to keep excess lube from coming into contact with the stock and softening the wood. Anyone else heard of that?

    Silencers: legal in Missouri?

Please excuse my ignorance, but what is C&R? Do you have to maintain your FFL in order to keep the suppressor, or can you get a FFL, get your suppressor, and then not keep up your FFL? Is there some place where I can find out exactly what is required to own suppressors for MO residents? Sorry...

Has Nyone Heard Of " Woods Custom Guns" in Columbia, Mo?

I've only been living in Columbia 2 years, but I went to school here and have had family here all my life and I've never heard of Woods Custom Guns. However, that doesn't mean much. I just recently learned of the Chapman Acadamy, which has been here over 30 years....

Gallup boss: More Americans oppose gun control than ever

I don't think there will be more than "talk" in the next four years from the White House. They've got to know that being aggressive now in matters relating to the 2A will severly hurt chances for a second term. If there is a second term, watch out. They'll have nothing to lose then...

Newbie question:Reusing lead to cast bullets

This may be a dumb question, but I don't know, so I'll ask. Just getting started reloading and I'm loading for 38/357. I go to the range to pick up brass and often find fired bullets. Some day I may want to try casting my own. Can a person reclaim the lead out of these fired bullets to...

    642 Club Part Deux

Heavy trigger pull AZAndy and Wayne11, Read your posts with great interest. Just got a chance last night to shoot my 642 to that I picked up last week. Had been dry firing it and thought that the trigger felt heavy (don't have a trigger scale). Ended up shooting it side-by-side with my...

    642 Club Part Deux

Joined the club Thursday night. Haven't had a chance to take it to the range, but been working on the poor man's trigger job. :) This is my first smith and was wondering if it's necessary to open up the action to clean or lube anything. Till now most of my experience has been with long arms...
