    Burnishing

Have noticed a number of metal salvage shops, around the southern California area. In my experience, these folks generally don't mind selling very small amounts of scrap - even down to a single piece of metal. In fact, most will work with one, in helping to identify the correct type of metal...

    Nepalese P1853 speaks out!

Y'know, DD: It's beginning to look, more and more, like you've managed to work yourself into a fine-looking shooter. This, despite the all-kinds-of-terrible-crud it might could have been said that you'd end up with. Can't hardly fault you in having managed to restore a real live working...

An unfortunate example of how long black powder can stay viable and dangerous

Haven’t been to Germany, since ’85 . But, when I was last there, finding unexploded ordinance was still an occasional occurrence. Believe they found a fairly large and intact aerial bomb, during my last stay. Took a few DAYS to get the thing exhumed and deactivated. Have to wonder, sometimes...

New Products For the BP shooter.

Was leery about how secure this configuration might prove to be, upon having first seen it, years ago. Got over it, though. Me father is retired LE and introduced me to something similar. Was the same application of design, but for use as a cartridge pouch. The flap actually curls around the...

    how fast is your draw

Personal best: .279 after a short while, right-handed. (Usually just over .300). Given about the same amount of time, made it to .291 (but, generally just under .330), left-handed. Guess I''ll hang on to the day job.

Presentation Box Colt 1851 & my #1 post.

Very nice, SIG2101. You do good work! No one, alive, has ever called me a perfectionist. Well, okay, no one at all, has ever called me that (although, the term "Obsessive/Compulsive" has been bandied about, upon occasion. :uhoh: ) Even so, your results look alarmingly unflawed.
