By coincidence I just recently did a search for "dessicants" on this site... Some helpful member suggested stopping by any motorcycle dealership, that bikes are shipped with 1 pound bags of dessicant that typically get thrown in the trash, no harm in asking.

I moved to SA from Michigan about 10 years ago and never looked back. I second Powderhorn as head and shoulders above the other gunshops here. If you shoot black powder at all, the nicest range (and best kept secret) is Alamo Muzzle Loading Gun Club west of town, towards Castroville.
