I have a Ruger New Model Bisley in 45LC with the 7.5" barrel. Question is: Can I get a conversion 45 ACP cylinder from Ruger and use it in this revolver even though it was made for the New Model Blackhawk? Just don't want to spend $80 and wait a month to be disappointed...

This rifle loves Hornady Custom 130 grain soft point ammo. MOA to a little over MOA groups out of the box (5 shot). 0.975" was best. 1.375" was the worst.
Thanks for the input. Mine is a Russian make. I already Slugged it and it will accept the .310". Many sites say the barrels vary from .310 to .314 for bullet fit and they were aiming for .310" with the design. Guess I got a good gun? Groupings will tell the tale.
I found this site with some different loads for 7.62X54R ammunition.
I will most likely be shooting a Mosin-Nagant M44
Are these rounds too powerful for the M44?
Hornady SP 123 grain bullet
.310" bullet diameter
2.654" overall...
