    interstate transfer in person

    * Note: It matters where your Driver's License is from - That's the state where you can transfer possession of a handgun. If you have a Texas DL, and are living in Washington, the Washington FFL is not going to transfer it to you - They'll say you are a resident of another state.

    Red dot sight for AK

everything but cheap If money was no option, I'd say Larue Irondot or an AimPoint Micro & the UltiMAK Rail. I think the ultimak & red dot looks fine with wood, and it allows cowitnessing with irons. The Larue leaves all wood intact, doesn't stand out/stickout much and works like a charm.

Police harassment over open carry in VT

When an officer says "Is it worth it?" to you, regarding a lawsuit, my first reaction is to say "Yes, and numerous cases have resulted in severe consequences to the officers responsible. " He can back his happy butt up with statements like that. I've got nothing but time when it comes to taking...

Dry Firing my new Springfield 1911?

Just say no to dry firing rimfire guns. The firing pin can slam into the top o' the barrel, or other things, given its point of impact. This could weaken the firing pin to the point of wear or failure after repetition. It escapes me why people think dry firing a centerfire handgun is 'bad'...

And here is the 'catch' for Chicago cops who want to carry M-4's... (Sun Times)

Agreed. It is ridiculous that people who must engage in a physical job can't do 100% of their bodyweight. :barf: And they need to make that running requirement a little faster also, fat folks can run that fast... This is regardless of what weapon certifications or requirements there...

    Any "Strange" Ordinances in Dallas?

Be wary, they call it barbeque, but know up front they are going to serve you beef brisket. chopped or sliced, its from a cow. A half days travel will get you back to bbq heaven in Memphis. (I'm moving to Dallas in August, and have been checking on laws/statutes and everything is generally...

Benelli Nova Pump vs Remington 870

I have a Nova, and am disappointed by the cost of additional barrels relative to the gun price. That being said, that's the only thing I am disappointed with. My Nova has been flawless. And if you ever break or lose something, Mann & Sons is the place to go for Benelli stuff. I love...
