    Has anyone seen this?

Check out this article. Not directly gun related, but definately calls our freedoms to mind. This guy can't even protect his own property, let alone protect our country... http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,490084,00.html If you're as outraged as I am, please then visit this site...

    Remington 870 Wingmaster Magnum

Well since it's come up, I'm looking for an 870, but what are the major differences between the models? IS it just materials? Obviously the WM has much nicer materials (wood) than the express, but are the guts all the same? Same reliability?

Today I didnt carry and quess what happened.

I wasn't planning on even commenting on this thread, but, what the heck...why did you post this? I mean your welcome to post whatever you like (as long as the THR rules are followed;)), but what kind of responses were you expecting on a very vocal pro-CCW forum? As has been said, if you have a...

Omaha Beach, June 6 1944, 1st Wave - Would You Do it?

I was thinking about something similar to this the other day. I don't think today's Americans would answer the call like they did during WWII. A lot would to be sure, but not the huge voluntary force that was seen then. There doesn't seem to be the patriotism anymore...too much enemy...

    California goverment must be taught

There's only so much you can do when your out numbered. I guarantee you we all vote for the pro-gun candidates, but guess what...we don't have the votes! So spare us the, "it's your fault if you don't just vote them out" garbage. Is it DC's fault that the gun owners there didn't just vote out...

    California goverment must be taught

I am so sick of out-of-stater's saying we cali's are "getting what we deserve" or "why don't they just vote those people out of office?" Gee what a novel idea. Why didn't we think of that? California is a big place with a lot of issues, and guns are only part of them. Yes, we have a lot...

I saw this and had to laugh

This is a big part of the problem with these type of guns; we're letting the media and the opposition label the guns. So to the general public, these are "sniper rifles" and AR 15's are "assault weapons". This makes it easier to ban them, because to the general public there aren't any...

    Cowboy Action Shooting

I guess some can take it pretty far (with their dress), but I guess that's also what makes it fun. It looks like total escapism. How many of us grew up playing cowboys? And here's a way to do it with real guns! The only thing that makes me pause is the initial lay out for 3 different guns...

    Cowboy Action Shooting

Thanks for the link, Hawk, great article. Yeah, those light loads don't seem to be in the "spirit of the West" or the "cowboy code". I think Wyatt Earp would roll over in his grave. It does look fun, though. I'll see what way some of my local clubs shoot...Boom, Clank, or pop, ping

    Cowboy Action Shooting

I've been interested in this for some time. I was watching a show on it the other night, and it got me wondering...what caliber do they mostly shoot in their pistols? There doesn't seem to be much recoil at all, especially with how fast they are shooting.

Gun manufacturers continue to aid gun banners

I alos do not see the logic in this proposed action. How is it wrong for Kimber to make a gun in honor of, or even for, a california police department. The police departments in Cali aren't proposing gun banning legislature.

California AB2062 resurfaces! Must stop it!

Clyde seems to think that if a thousand people show up at the steps of the capital, that suddenly everything will change. How many tiomes have you seen a bunch of protestors at the capital yelling, screamiong, and chanting their slogans? The answer is a lot. But those efforts are of little...

    Why Stay

I agree with a lot of my fellow Californians. I have lived in California my whole life and for the most part I have loved it. But I will be the first to say that the State I live in now is not the same State my Father and Grandfather grew up in. People form elsewhere see California as this...

    Californians Plan Anti-Legislation Protest

That went for an intersting, inciteful, and spirited discussion/debate, right into the gutter...your last comment was uncalled for Tradejack

    Californians Plan Anti-Legislation Protest

I'm all in favor of CONSTRUCTIVE criticism, but with comments like those posted...mostly from defeated ex-californians, who are no longer willing to stay and fight, and move to easier more gun tolerant states...we just don't need your opinions unless your willing to help us. Just hiding behind...

    Californians Plan Anti-Legislation Protest

I'm with you Marcus. Sure California has A LOT of problems and we definately have an uphill fight. But fight we will. And although we all couldn't go to the capitol as we would have liked, obviously the efforts paid off. Going down to the capitol was only part of the fight...not even the...

What gun laws do you feel ARE appropriate?

Maybe I should have clarified my previous statement about felons not hving guns. If it was a completely non-violent, white collar type crime, then maybe I could see them being allowed agun after a probationary period. But if they were a violent offender, druggy, gang member, etc, then no I...
