My Thoughts On The Glock 34

A few things first. I reload for 9mm with a turret press and will churn out about 200 rounds of 124 grain FMJ at a time. I also reload for .357 magnum, .40, .45 acp, and 10mm. My wife has taken all my high capacity 9mms but my Ruger SR9, and it's a fine gun but it fails to impress me like the...

Who owns a Glock 43 and hates it?

I gave a lot of hard thought to a Glock 43 to sub in for my XDs .45 ACP in dress clothes and my new wardrobe (went from 275 to 172 over the course of sixteen months and I only stand 5'9"). I shot one at a gun range near me that belonged to a fellow shooter. Was not impressed, fortunately the guy...

    Harris Publications Dead

All these publications could go digital and start a Youtube video section so we could actually see the reviews as they happen and not just feel like we are being sold goods. Millenials are more likely to spend time on Youtube then pickup a magazine, much less pay for one. I don't buy...

Rising prices of Ruger Police and Service Six why?

The prices on newer revolvers have gone up as well. So used revolvers are bound to see a price increase as well. One of the things i like about gunbroker is that you have private persons selling through FFLs, so it's not a store with overhead to cover but a private person trying to make a small...

Embarrassing for Gun Rights - Why it's important what you post on Social Media

I'm sorry but I'm carrying and I have my kid with me. That gun is going to be securely stored or on my person. Not loose for just anybody to grab. The kid could have shot himself. Had the gun been in the glove box, this wouldn't have happened. Kids are little suicide machines (watched my six...

NY State: Limit “Assault Weapon” Ammo Sales to 20 Rounds Every 4 Months

Is death by rifle ammo a real issue in the state of NY? I mean, are more than ten people a year killed by rifle caliber firearms? Not that that is justification, but it would make a little sense. Granted, about as much sense as a Buddhist asking to be reincarnated as a Dung Beatle.

    Revolver shooters are reloaders?

I reload all my revolver caliber brass. I try to pickup as much of my .45 ACP brass as I can but I'm saving it for when I either get a 625 or buy a Super Redhawk in .454 Casull and have it setup to also shoot .45 ACP.

    Goonsgunworks

Dumb question I'm sure, but can you mod Walker Replicas so the loading lever doesn't come down while shooting. That's the only issue putting me off a Walker. I love my ASM Colt style .44 and my Remington .36 (found both in a storage unit so I don't know what their official names are).

Will .44 Russian Loads in .44 M. Iagnum Brass Produce Squib Loads

Thanks guys. I'm going to attempt a few loads next weekend. I'm going to stay more in the 750-800 fps territory with a 240 grain SWC. The novelty of a 265 LRN at 700 fps was fun to toy with but there's no point.

Will .44 Russian Loads in .44 M. Iagnum Brass Produce Squib Loads

To fight off my hunger for another wheelie I thought about turning to loaded down loads in my Ruger Redhawks. I've got 4" .44 Magnum and I'd like to load my spent brass to .44 Russian levels (265 grain LSWC at 700 fps) for grins and fun. Basically playing at .455 Webley performance levels as...

    Yearly Gun Expenditure

Well the wife and I are looking to have kids next year and we are managing to put her entire check in the bank for the last six months and we want to do that for at least a whole year before she gets pregnant. So my gun spending is severly limited. Granted I have over two dozen guns I don't...

    Ruger American pistol!?

Anyone else reminded of the TP9SA when looking at that pistol?

"Unit of Fire" Modern Day equivalent

My grandpa was a Marine Raider that fought at Guadacanal. Most everybody burned through their ammo and had to pull ammo off of their dead and wounded comrades as he told me. When he burned through the last of his 12 Gauge, another guy a few minutes later caught a round through the chest and my...

Another PMR30 fanboy is made (range report)

I've been eyeing the CMR 30 as a fun "zombie" gun. Tack it up with a laser and a flash light. Then get a Mare's leg in .357 magnum.

    new ruger redhawk 45ACP/45Colt

Used 4" .45 LC Redhawks are popping up on gunbroker, so when I buy mine next April (wife and i agreed to no more than two guns a year given I own over two dozen), I'll eitherr get one of the NIB .45LC/.45ACP revolvers or get a used .45 LC at a good price and get it machine for moon clips...

    Double Action 45 ACP thoughts?

I love my West German Sig 220. I shoot it better with it than my STI Spartan. Granted I'm left-handed so I don't get the once in a while hangups where my hand engages the slide lock (that's the only reason for why I shoot better with the Sig 220). It was getting a WG Sig 228 that got me into...

Finninsch government to resist EU directive

I want to know what Switzerland is doing. I can't imagine them giving a flying fiasco as to what the EU is doing but who knows.

    New Redhawks in 41 Magnum

Now if we could just get one in 10mm, that'd be nice.

The Panic may be over but gun sales aren't

The only way we'll see a drop in gun sales is if the Dems are defeated in 2016. Dems are raging to destroy America one way or another. Republicans will at least mean some sense of stability when it comes to guns. If you value your gun rights (at least), you can't vote Dem, they are out to...

    Beat up old Ruger Service-Six.

I've got a beater Ruger Security Six 6" that still shoots straight and great. Everytime I think about another 6" .357 I reach for that gun and go "nah".
