Sounds like you got a good deal on the Smith and the Dan Wesson! The 445 SuperMag is a fun caliber to shoot I think you'll enjoy it! Check out the Dan Wesson Forum for some more info on it.
Here is a link to some info on the various frame sizes offered by DW for those interested.
The 22 and 357 were built on what DW considered there small frame along with the 22 Mag, 32 Mag, 38 Special and 32-20. The DW Small frame is about the same size as a S&W L Frame. The 738P made between...
Both the 357 and 22 are built on the small frame so the barrel should is interchangeable. However due to the different placement of the firing pin you could not do this conversation. Also unless you have someone re-thread the barrels the threads are different. I have read where folks have...
There's some speculation that CZ-USA is considering bringing the Dan Wesson Revolver back to production. The Dan Wesson Forum is starting a petition that will be sent to CZ-USA so if you are interested please drop by and sign it. I also posted this on the Firing Line.

I would suggest you check the b\c gap. Dan Wesson recommended the gap be set to .002 on the 357 SuperMag and to .006 on all others. You need to check the spacing on each cylinder since on the Monson produced guns there could be some variance.

Lowlander, for more Dan Wesson info you might want to visit www.danwessonforum.com. It's a site dedicated specifically to Dan Wesson Firearms!
I certainly hope they start up production of the revolvers again. I should would be in line to get one!
cindynles, I know someone that just picked up one for $525 plus shipping if I'm not mistaken. So I would think you could get at least $500 to $550 pretty quick on a forum or maybe more on GunBroker but then you have to pay fees.

I also have several Dan Wesson's and enjoy shooting them all. I haven't had to send any of mine back to DW for service but have bought several new barrels and shrouds from them and also had a brushed blue finish put on my 445 SuperMag and service was excellent.
If you want more info on DW's...
Dan Wesson's are great revolvers and looks like you got a pretty nice one. DW's have started to climb in value over the past couple of years and it's getting hard to get good deals!
Also for more DW info check out the Dan Wesson Forum.
Also one thing to keep in mind is that the on the Monson guns the cylinders where hardened after they would made and the cylinder faces is not always true. Therefore you need to check the gap on all cylinders and set the gap to the tightest.
Norwich manufactured guns should have a much truer...
I have a stainless DW 44 Mag and love it. I also have several others and have never had any issues with them.
You might also want to visit www.danwessonforum.com for more information on them.
Good Luck!
Dan Wesson's are great revolvers! You could get both the 4 and 6 inches barrels so that way you don't have to settle on one.

Model 14 - Blued with fixed sights
Model 15 - Blued with adjustable sights
If the gun is stainless put a 7 in front of the model number (714 or 715)

Unfortunately I would have to agree with the other guys its not likely to see a new one anytime soon. I have heard rumors of DW starting a custom shop and that revolvers may be offered that way. But last time I spoke with Keith at DW this hasn't happen yet.
Again the used market would be...
