Yes it is, this guy does this by hand starting with a raw horn and works and works at it until he likes it. He is even wrong-handed, I mean left-handed. This is He at Fort Halifax Pa festival.
British Dragoon
Here is my MVTC British Dragoon with browning, a front sight soldered on trigger works polished wood darkened and brass darkened, I like it better than the bright. Oh yea a few tacks to match my trade rifle. Your rifle looks great as it is, just throwing my version of a MVTC...
I just got to tacking my Bess/trade rifle, The rifle didnt have any real value as it was so I decided to modify it with help from one of my French Indian era pals. I solderd a front site from Tracks rifle parts. I really like the results so far.

Brown Bess frizzen
My Japanese Bess from Dixie doesn't always open the frizzen fully when it fires. Is this common or do I have a spring with too much pressure? All of my other flints open the frizzen fully when fired.
Thanks for any input

What type of buttons did Curly use on the musket earlier in this thread?

Mountain Pistol
Yes I do the mountain pistol is the one I have, along with a larger target pistol, Does your Mountain pistol have a belt hook on the left side?
Brett.
I recently picked up two cva kit pistols. They are both assembled (poorly) and I will be redoing them. One I believe is a target model 50 cal flint, the other may be a plains pistol 50 cal flint but I am not sure. Does anyone have a pic or link that I can use to verify this?
Thanks Brett.
I just recieved a ttn and it is very nice, not a lot of stampings all over the frame or receiver and decent finish. Hammer and trigger pull are great and action breaks very well. I think I can get used to this little shotgun.
