On my night stand for about 20 years now , I take it to the range only once, every month or two, so not of my range guns. Bought this SIG 229 new in 1996 and it has never had a failure of any kind. I am not a big 40 S&W fan, but really love this gun.

That looks really good. BUT I use a qt. zip-lock bag, label it and, it holds the die plate w/dies, shell plate, and keeps all from dirt,dust and grime. I keep 5 different caliber changes that way. Yep, it`s cheap, but it works.

The RCBS Uniflow and It throws consistent charges with HS-6. Like others have said, with the small drum it will do a better job for the calibers you are loading. Many years ago, I used the LEE and remembered, it worked quite well.

I take a batch of brass and load that batch over and over, until it is useless. The difference I noticed is that, the brass cases will outlast the nickel by quite a few trips. This is with target loads for 45acp. Other than that, I can`t tell any difference.

That sure is a good looking gun. Seems that S&W does not get enough credit for building very good 1911s.
