Alliant Clay Dot .45 ACP Load Data.

That was my first move. Their response was that they haven't worked up any cartridge loads yet but plan to sometime in the future.

Alliant Clay Dot .45 ACP Load Data.

I was recently given an 8lb. jug of Alliant Clay dot. This powder has been out for a while but Alliant still hasn't published any load data other than for shotguns. An exert from their website reads... "Remarks: Designed to duplicate the performance of Hodgdon® Clays™ at an economical price...

    Corn cob media size

+1 on the Graingers 20/40. The smaller grit has more surface area per sg.inch. The stuff from Walmart and .223 casings don't play well together. Trey

    CBOB?

I own or have owned Brown's, Wilson's, Baer's, Kimber's, Colt's, and DW's. (Four of which are Bobtails). As far as I'm concerned, the Dan Wesson CBOB is by far the best "bang for the buck". It's not in the same class as some of the others, but for the money, I don't think anything else out...

    Military Crimp....Why?

I just spent the afternoon prepping LC brass. While going through the motions, it got me thinking, just exactly what is the advantage of the military crimp? Does it make it more water tight? More stable under the rough conditions of war? Inquiring mind(s) want to know. Thanks.

    Your very first gun..

Still got mine. Mossberg 152K. My dad bought it sometime in the 50's and gave it to me in 67. I took it out to the range just a couple weeks ago and it it still shoots great.

    Laser on P3AT anyone?

Maybe I'm slow, but I don't see a single down side to adding a laser to a pocket gun that would probably be used only under stressful, adrenaline filled situations.

    Best Grips for 1911

I've always been a fan of wood grips. I own 7 or 8 pair of Ed's grips from Wicked Grips. I recently picked up this pair of hand carved buffalo horns. I bought em mainly because I love the way they look. What I wasn't expecting was how they feel. They have a nice "warm" feel to them much...

    Loading Tarnished/Corroded Brass

Make up a 50/50 mixture of vinegar and water, add a little Dawn dishwater soap and a couple tbl spoons of salt. Soak for about an hour (agitate it occasionally) or until the tarnish comes off when you touch it. Rinse and let dry. Tumble over night in corn cob with a little Nu-Finish car...

Ed Brown,Wilson Combat or Les Baer

I currently own all three. If I had to choose just one, it would definitely be the Baer. No, the Wilson..... wait, I mean the Brown. Seriously, you can't go wrong with any of them. Each one has it's own personality.
