    Ruger 40 SW

I am reading the Ruger site correctly. It seems that the don't have a 40 with a rail mount. Is one coming out, that I would be able to get here in CA. I am looking for a inexpensive 40 with a light mount to carry at night around my property and I thought Ruger would be my best bet and...

    Bird Dog

I have had great luck with my Britt. She has been great. She does not look like much but she has drive that will not quit. She's small for a Britt, she's had Parvo as a pup and it was touch and go for a bit but she pulled through and has been a great hunting partner. She can't wait to get out of...

    CZ-75 Price Check

I can ony comment on the 75s. I found mine used in a gun store, listed for 299, and got it for 270, but that was a steal and it was about 18 months ago. I was in a gun store (differnt store) last week and they wanted 560, which I felt was about aleast 100 to high. Its hard for me to...

    Accurate handguns

My CZ 75 BD is very accurate and I picked it up for 300 out the door in CA no less. I would put it up against a 226 any day accuracy wise, and have may times with friends at the range. It holds its own.

    Help with Decision??

I have been to about 4 Gun Stores and not one has carried the FN. I will have to look around for that one. I did not like the XD, Beretta PX4 and Walther P99 were nice but I just can't justify the higher cost. The more I think about it out of the ones I can get my hands on I like the Sig...

I am trying to decide which handgun will best suit my needs. Here is what I and looking for. Polymer, rail and durable. Theres what I am thinking. My family has a few properties up in the mountains; currently my Springer 1911 is filling the role of my side arm when out and about. It has...

Have you ever been desperate enough to carry an old style replica gun?

Before I was 21 I would take my 1858 44cal up to my family's cabin. I had that and a mosin m44. I would not want to be on the receiving end of either of these weapons. I would load the 1854 with a .451 lead ball on top of 30 grains of 3F Blackpowder. We leave the m44 up there all the time...

Old Remington 510T, to tap or not to tap?

I learn to shoot on one. My grandfather took me out when I was 8, I remember it like yesterday. While he has given me most of his guns over time, he still is holding on to that one, as well he should, he loves it. While I have many 22s there is nothing like that old Remington. I am not worried...

    New to hunting

I would suggest that you hit the used racks and look for a used Savage 110. I picked one up int 30/06, with a simmons cheapy scope for $275. Also I would look for a Marlin 30/30. Around here right before deer season Big 5 runs them on sale for 299.00.

    Newbie post, need a rifle

If looking for a 30-06 check the used racks. When I was looking for a deer rifle I ran into a lot of good used 30-06s. I settled on a like new Savage 110 in 30-06 (It was what I was looking for). It is an early model without the Accutriger but the trigger is not bad. I only paid $275 and that...

    first 9mm: sig or cz

My 2 cents One of my best friends carries a 226 as his duty gun. I have had many chances to give it a whirl. It’s a great gun not much bad I can say about it. He gets his for free, if I wanted one I would have to pony up the money. During my research I found that may people who like Sigs...

    Stockton Ca 11/29th-12/3rd

I work in Stockton and live in Modesto about 35 miles south. I was not aware the range closed in Stockton but if that is the case there is a range in Ripon which is about 20 miles south at Barnwood arms. There is an outdoor range at the Manteca Sportsman’s club that has trap, black powder, 100...

    Wal-Mart Beretta?

I have one from Walmart. It is a 390. I got it about 3 or 4 years ago when you could still get guns at Walmart in CA. It has new let me down. I have put about 1000 rounds through it, most of it being light loads from Walmart but I have also ran slugs, heavy 2.75 and some 3 and never a problem...

    Sig-Sauer P220 for $379

The frist handgun I bought was an early Springfield loaded. I got it back in 99. I love it. It is not the tiest 1911 in the world and it rattles alot but it shoots like a top. The only Sig I have shoot is a 226 in 40 Great gun. It felt well made and for a DA trigger it was great. While I...

MSDE is SQL and SQL is MSDE. They are the same code base, MSDE or Microsoft Data Engine is just a neutered version of MSSQL. All backup and system maintenance is still done through T-SQL commands. The limitations of the MSDE are as follows. 1) No graphical management tools (like...
