    ? RE Ruger Customer Service

I was very unsatisfied with Ruger service. Apparently when a gun goes in it goes thru certain checks and thats it! No customer "Relations" at all! And there is a difference between "Relations" and service. Cost wasn't even an issue for me, I just thought I wanted the manufacture to work on it. I...

Learn from my mistake! Damaged SP101

Wellerjohn, I actually did send it in as many many people suggested to me and you can find that in the other post titled "Ruger customer relations are horrid!". I don't want to take away the point of this post which is safety. Nickelboy

    Ruger LCR Polymer Revolver

I think Ruger needs a T-Shirt that says "Glock This, B@#$" With a picture of the LCR below it!! Sorry, Glock owners but I have to jab when I can.:neener: I can not wait to own one!!

Learn from my mistake! Damaged SP101

Wow I can not believe this thread has stayed alive. Again thanks to everyone for all the kind comments. It was mentioned by some on this board and other boards too that it takes a lot to admit this kind of mistake. Actually it's not hard at all; as the original title said "Learn from my...

    Safe 200gr 45 Colt load?

I gave up on what I had and picked up some HP-38. Now I'm getting picky I guess, but I don't like using powder that a double charge would fit into the case, is there something fluffier? I'm trying to use up the HS-6 for the same reason.

    Safe 200gr 45 Colt load?

I just cast my first 200gr LSWC, unfortunately all the loads listed for 200gr are for powders I don't have. Does anyone have a safe recipe using AA#7 or H110 or HS6? I'll be using a BlackHawk so I have some wiggle room in terms of Safe too. Thanks, Nickelboy

What do you carry auto or revolver and why?

I just don't trust bottom feeders. I've had Ruger, Beretta, EAA, I've shot Glock, Colt, Walther, Bersa just too many to count and most did well but they all jam on occasion. And anybody that tells you different is................not going there. I've had and shot many more revolvers with most...

Why would anyone choose a revolver over semi auto?

Simplicity! Just compare the number of revolvers that jam to the autoloaders that don't? No one should have to count too high..........:neener:

    .44RM vs. .45Colt

I have both, but can only afford the 45 because I cast and reload. Also you can find 44 ammunition almost anywhere, not so much the 45. And the 45 you find in most stores is "Cowboy", not good for hunting. As much as I like the 45, if you desire versatility stick with the 44.

Would you ever carry 4 rounds in a 6 shooter if you sleep with your revolver?

This is how bans on magazine capacity's get started; untrained, uninformed people. A gun is meant to be loaded, fully loaded, if you can't handle it properly loaded do not own a gun until you can!

Powder Question - How low can you go

Thanks GP. Oh Yes I do now see online they say 6.0. I do not understand why my older books have everything listed higher. In my 1996 Hodgdon it says 8.0 and in my Lee Data Manual it says 8.0! This is frustrating!! Why does a manufacture change this? To hurt someone? If a powder needs to be...

Powder Question - How low can you go

I want to safely load down a .357 using LSWC and HS6. The Hogdgon book I have calls for 8.0 using LRN. I'm looking for a practice load without going all the way down to 38 specials. And I want to use up my HS6. Thanks, Nickelboy

    Ruger SA Grips Question

What grips does the Ruger Old Army use? Many sights don't list the ROA, but I assume it probably used the same frame as something else??

    Ruger Customer Relations are Horrid!

I was told by many including my dealer to send it in. I did have a breaking point, up to $250 fix it, over that I'm keeping it as-is. To me I'm looking at worst case is a bad frame and cylinder the barrel, crane, trigger group, hammer, grips all are in working order so if the frame can't be...

    Ruger Customer Relations are Horrid!

I had to go into the office to check the cost on the letter, it was $354 not $339, still not the point. There offer may have been fair, but I told the woman on the phone that if the cost to repair is going to be too much or doesn't make sense I want to keep it. At that point I didn't know what...

    Ruger Customer Relations are Horrid!

Euclidean probably makes the most sense, I'm in the middle and not looking objectively at the situation. I'll keep reloading, shooting and I'm sure buying Ruger firearms. I give, I give, uncle, uncle Nuf said game over, Nickelboy

    Ruger Customer Relations are Horrid!

Everyone including my dealer and Ruger said to send it in. I asked for where I could send pictures if that was all they needed, but no. I wasn't asking for a firm quote on repair cost. If Ruger knows their not going to fix it for the reasons you (rantingredneck) suggest they should have told me...

    Ruger Customer Relations are Horrid!

Some of you may remember my previous post and my damage from an overcharged reload. Well I sent it in as many suggested on here and other forums and even by my dealer. I found Ruger’s customer relations to be horrid at best. Now I said relations not service because I didn’t end up with any work...
