The .357 mag has at one time or other killed every large animal type on the North American continent ..but that doesn't mean its recommended :) ..a larger 357 revolver would probably be ok for Black Bear though ..so long as its not one of the rare 700 pounders.
+1 ..is easy to find rentals to see which fits your hand better(as most ranges have them) ..also very rugged and reliable.
My G19 is very accurate also..(contrary to what some may believe)
I guess iwb is out of the question?
CompTac does make quality products though(I love my Mtac hybrid) ..don't really know the details on their paddles though..sry.
But with a paddle i'd might be even more inclined to buy what i could try..as paddles can only get so close anyway :)
Oh its more than taco seasoning ;) ... but like anything you've got to pay a little more to get the good quality stuff ..not just some off-brand junk..

P32/P3AT, Bersa CC..also come to mind.. The NAA mini revolvers(may not be real potent by comparison)but definitely qualify as True pocket carries :) ..

I like 'em ..think they're neat :)
Here's another good thread on them...

^Anemic yes,
But all the guns mentioned on this thread can be shot well out to 7-10yds..With a little practice ..which is far more than they'll probably ever needed for :) and nothing carries easier than most of these guns..when deep cover is required.
..rest assured tiny ultralite pocketguns...
