How many conceal carry full size auto pistols?

The carry gun and method vary with destination. Around my small town, it's a snub revolver 38 or 357 IWB appendix carry. That includes church. If I gotta go to an urban area, I up-arm to a glock 22 OWB at 4 o'clock . OC or concealed (cover garment), the guns are strong side. I always...

    Cost of reloading .45acp?

I was ramping up ammo production from 2008 to about 2015. I load all my calibers, including .45 I smelt wheel weights, cast bullets, have a LOT of primers brass and powder in stock. I figure about 7 cents per, excluding brass. With brass, maybe 11 cents each? But my great-great grandchildren...

Is Shooting Lead in my backyard really dangerous?

Build a bullet catcher. Mine is a wood box 4' x 3' X 24" deep . Stack scrap wood in it . I've never had a bullet penetrate the back, shooting 223 and 308 and 30-06. I empty it every couple of years and smelt he lead back into ingots, then cast boolits for reloading.

Do You Carry Concealed into your Church?

With the rising tide of islamic terrorism, NOT being prepared is a mistake. The moslem raison d'etre is to force all infidels to convert, pay jizya tax or be killed. The recent actions of the Garland Texas islamic terrorists should be not only yet another wake up call, but also a blueprint...

    Profiled at MO Conservation range

If I get profiled, I profile right back. Cell phone video going, I get faces and license plates and ask for names and badge numbers and "what do you think you are doing here?" I have low tolerance for neugestapo antics.

    Origin of "This Changes Everything"

Leave us not forget that half the 2008 campaign slogan for the dumbest half of america was unspecified "Change". Of course that was paired with the brilliant strategy for future success, "Hope". And in 2012 the old marxist slogan "Forward" carried the election. I weep for my nation.

    Which tool?

I bought a HF digital calipers and I am unimpressed. Battery Hog and as soon as you get over 1.5" the readout goes ape. I'd go with a dial caliper first if i was to do it all over again.

45 ACP bullet seating and tamper crimp

I had a lot of trouble with my cast bullets and my 1911s. I was using a Lee 225 grain Round nose tumble lube mold. Sized .452 thru a lee sizer. The cast bullets sized to .452 and loaded with RCBS dies loaded and ran just great in the Ruger P345 and the hi-point .45 and the hi-point .45 carbine...

Bench Rest Primers Reduce Groups By 25%

"I have been using bench rest primers in my 45 Elite Match and I have reduced my groups to under an inch at 50 yards standing on one leg with the modified Weaver stance with my cap on backwards." Heeeeyyyy, wait a minute! I don't think you are telling us the Truth!

Hi Point 9mm carbine and lead

What's the accuracy of the leaded barrel vs un-leaded? The success / failure of the load & rifle is in the accuracy, not the look od the barrel afterwards. You may have a self-correcting "problem".

Jammed up 3 dies with Hornady one shot spray

My RCBS roll pad and RCBS lube lasts and lasts and lasts. I've loaded at least 43 gazmillion pistol and rifle rounds in the last 25 years, and I have never stuck a case in a die. I'm on my 2nd little bottle of slimy lube. I have over lubed and dimpled some case shoulders, but I learned not to...

Taking a somewhat minimalist approach to firearms

A citizen should own the tools necessary to pursue their interests. Hunters: it's pretty easy to figure out what caliber by what's legal for your intended game. Sports shooters: Whatever guns the competition is running, they're probably doing it for a reason. Self defense: 20 million essays...

    Durability of a everyday carry pistol/revolver ?

More importantly, are you prepared to surrender your carry piece if you ever have to use it? Guarantee that if you fire your piece in self defense, Officer Friendly is gonna collect it as evidence. I run the philosophy that the carry pistol is a tool that should be ultra reliable, as accurate...

new to reloading, need advice on tumblers

I ran thru ( burned out) a couple of vibratory tumblers in a couple of years. the company replaced it once, then refunded my money. ( I got tired of paying shipping back). I considered the mechanical aspect of a machine that is designed to try and shake itself to death, then went with a roller...

    Primers...

I like cci for everything, but Wolf is a lot more cost effective by about 40%. Wolf packaging sux. If i try to dump 10-30 at a time into the priming tray I always get a couple of primers flipped and jammed in the sleeve. But that's a minor irritant in the big scheme of things. Wolf primers seem...

Another example of why it's good to carry

Denver yutes armed w/ baseball bats commit robberies. http://www.thedenverchannel.com/news/28599948/detail.html Maybe I wouldn't have time to draw, but if several "yutes" are hanging around at midnight with baseball bats, i would hope my SA would be high enuff to prevent the beating. I...

    Pump vs Auto

Haven't seen anybody mention the reduced recoil of a semi auto as a factor. My semi doesn't kick as much as my pump. Therefore, I am back on target mo fasta. Also, Ich Bin der sissy, so less recoils is mo nicer.
