Nice! I've recently purchased a standard Shield 9mm and I must say I like it a lot more than I thought I would! I honestly just bought it to see what all the hype was about. It's so flat it just carries like a dream, IWB or OWB, soft shooting-low recoil for the size and weight and awesome...

I agree and absolutely love my 52, it's one of those pistols I'll never sell! Mine is very tight, accuracy is awesome, the trigger is not bad at all and reliability has been perfect so far @ 700 plus round count. I've let half a dozen or more people shoot it and everyone thinks it's riot...

Have you considered a Beretta 390? You could probably pick up a (VG to EC condition) used one for around $5-600 The 390 can have the semi-hump back receiver, gold trigger, decorative scroll work on the receiver, two tone bolt/carrier and receiver, a pistol grip cap, metal band on the receiver...

Very well could have been, like you said it can happen to any manufacturer. It would be nice if Hevi-Shot came back with an explanation as to why they're paying for a new barrel, whether it's PR or not. Maybe I misunderstood but my point was simply that I don't believe there is anything...

Did Beretta thicken the barrels on the 391 and A400?...I honestly don't know, enlighten me! My 390 has shot thousandssss of rounds at the range, bays and blinds. It has been my go to waterfowl gun for almost 2 decades and has digested every 3" steel load I've ever sent down its barrel...

I really enjoy the repeaters: Beretta, Benelli, A5, & Win/Ithaca pumps but for me, they just don't compare to a day afield with the old A.H. Fox. :)

Well, I do have a Beretta 84...Same as BDA so I could easily give those a try to see.....I'd definitely want to test fire, even if they appear to fit. I'll report back of this when I get a chance. Good idea Walt!

I've had an eye on Wolff for awhile, waiting on these and just checked again, after your post.....I'm still not seeing anything at Wolff except recoil & FP spings. Can you link to that? CZ-USA is out of stock on these or I'd buy there.

I'm saying by mechanical design, in my opinion, the CZ has the potential to be a more accurate design all things being equal. With in spec rollers and fresh recoil spring (no loose breech) I believe the CZ with less barrel to slide action, should by consequence of that, lockup more...
