Help with Sights for My Kimber Custom II

Maybe I was lucky, but when I got my slide back, the sights were dead on the money. The replacement sights are much easier to drift is adjustments are needed.

Help with Sights for My Kimber Custom II

I had Kimber install Meprolight 3 dot night sights on my Stainless II. The factory sights are installed with a hydralic press, and are near impossible to remove without the press, plus, you have a good chance of losing or damaging the firing pin safety. Kimber usually has about a week turnaround...

    HK USP: Polygonal o-ring barrel

I have the O-ring on the barrel on my .40 Expert, and really like it. I know there are some places that will cut a groove in your barrel that allows using the o-ring. Several places sell the Expert barrels and o-rings. The forums at www.hkpro.com is a great place to ask H&K questions, and parts...

    Calling any WW2 1911A1 Gurus

The serial number sounds about right for a '43 Remington-Rand. The "other number" on the slide might mean it's a replacement slide. Remington slides had Remington-Rand stamped on them. Early Colts had the frame serial number stamped on the slide, under the firing pin stop. With pictures or a...

KKM caliber conversion for Glock - any experience?

I just purchased a KKM .40 cal barrel from them to use in my Glock 20, which is 10mm. Shot it yesterday for the first time. Accuracy was outstanding, and it functioned perfectly. The .40 cal is much cheaper to shoot, so it will pay for itself in no time. Was able to use the G20 factory magazine...

    Thoughts on a 38 Super

I have a Kimber .38 Super, really great pistol. Accurate and just plain fun to shoot. I was wondering what would need to be replaced to shoot 9mm's out of it. Anyone know? Hopefully just a 9mm barrel. Thanks in advance.

    Price Check on M-1

Looks like a real good price if the rifle is in decent condition.

    Questions about my Garand...

Steve, I have shot a lot of commercial ammo in my Garands, and my M1A with no problems. Pretty much stuck with 150gr bullets, and some 165 gr bullets. I reload quite a bit now, and that saves a lot of money, if you don't count your time. I consider it a hobby. It's the hot loads and/or heavier...

    Questions about my Garand...

Steve, VAR barrels are known for their accuracy, and are excellent barrels. 11/81 is the date it was manufactured. Sounds like you have a fine rifle. There are quite a few great books that will provide information about shooting, care and maintenance, and collecting Garands. The only problem...

    Questions about my Garand...

Congratulations on a fine rifle. Most Garands went thru a rebuild sometime in their lives, but depending on the condition of the finish, it could be the original Parkerized finish, I would have to look at it to determine if it has been re-finished. Most rifles had barrels and other parts...

    Are H&K USPs any Good?

Took it to the range today, and it is everything you guys said it would be. No problems with the first 150 rds, accurate from a rest, but I need some work on my part. Not really used to the trigger yet, but got better the more I shot. Thanks again for all the info!

    Are H&K USPs any Good?

Thanks for all the replys! Looks like I made a good decision to buy it. Should be able to take it to the range tomorrow, and see how she shoots. I hoping that I don't get bit by the bug to buy anymore for a while, but I'm kinda weak when it comes to that sort of thing. I have 4 Garands and 6...

    Are H&K USPs any Good?

Thanks for the reply. Are there any problems shooting cast bullets in the polygonal rifling like the Glocks seem to have (leading causing higher backpressure), or do the lose accuracy?

    Are H&K USPs any Good?

Just bought a H&K USP in .45 on a whim. I've always been a 1911A1 fan, and, besides a Glock .40 I bought a week ago, this is my first H&K. I know their rifles have a good reputation, but what about the pistols, especially the USP. I think I got a deal at $520 new. It's full sized, with 2 10 rd...

    Remington 1100 Handguard Cap

It has the mag retainer spring with the ridges. Maybe I am trying to tighten it up too much. The ridges on the mag retainer are not worn, or deformed, and look brand new. I thought about tightening it up with padded pliers or Vicegrips, but I'll just snug it up handtite, and give that a try...

    Remington 1100 Handguard Cap

I have a new 1100, and need to constantly tighten the front handguard cap. It's starting to really get annoying. This shotgun has had less than 300 rds thru it, and there is no wear on any of the parts that I can see. After 5 shots, or so, the front handguard cap can be tightened 1 or 2 clicks...

Buying a .22, what do you think of this one?

Although the Mark II (and Mark I) can be a little difficult to field strip at first, they get easier the more you do it. I usually just field strip the barrel and bolt, then use Gun Scrubber on the frame and trigger assembly, then a light coat of oil. About every 5th time out, I'll completely...

Buying a .22, what do you think of this one?

I ordered a black Ruger 22/45 trigger for mine, and installed it. IMHO, it looks great compared to the gold trigger. Trigger was about $5 from Brownell's, and easily installed. Just my humble opinion..
