Lack of adjustment in S&W sights.

S&W says to send it in for them to check out, so I'll be sending it. They said I should have it back in 3-4 weeks.

Lack of adjustment in S&W sights.

Huh, this is the first time I've researched the problem much. "Both sights are black and easy to see, however when the rear sight is bottomed out, my point of impact is 2" to 3" high at 25 yards. A taller front sight is in order here."

Lack of adjustment in S&W sights.

OK, figured the taller front site may be the solution. I'm shooting the Hornady 350gr XTP, which is on the lighter side of bullets for this caliber. These are factory sights, and it's printing 6" from having any adjustment. Seems odd they'd let sights like that out the door on a $1000 gun.

Lack of adjustment in S&W sights.

500 S&W, adjustable rear sight, fixed blade front sight. I have the rear sight screwed down tight. I bottom the front blade out so my desired point of impact is at the bottom edge of the rear sight. It still shoots 6" high at 50 yards. I don't like aiming 6" low, but there's no more...

270 Winchester - Rem 700 BDL Load Development Info

...and all the powders I've tried here burn slower than H4895. (BL-C(2), Varget, H380, H414) Hmm... The innacuracy of the 130gr rounds I loaded in this test are a puzzle. I figured right away that this rifle should shoot better than it did, so blamed my own skills, and possibly the rest I...

270 Winchester - Rem 700 BDL Load Development Info

Thanks for the comments guys. The reason I chose these faster powders was because the 90gr Sierra is the bullet I'm trying to find the load for. The 130gr Hornadys were more just to fire form the case to my rifle than anything else. At least my results go to show these powders may be too...

270 Winchester - Rem 700 BDL Load Development Info

Hi all, I'm posting this in several locations on the Internet, in hopes someone else may be interested, and have some input, or at least appreciate what I'm doing, and be able to use some of the info themselves. Basically, what I did was take 4 powders, and 2 bullet weights, and make up 3...
