    Pistol caliber carbines

I have a couple AR's in 9mm, one with a SBR lower and 9.5" barrel. Great shooters and absolutely the best option currently. However, there is one more I'll be adding to the collection soon. The new CZ Scorpion Evo 3, review here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8XAYsYwZGxI Adding...

    Handgun of the year (2014)

I'd vote for the Sig P320 and HK VP9. Finally some striker fire guns that are a pleasant experience to shoot!

    Pick my Cans....

For your rifles, make sure to look into the Griffin Taper mount cans like the Reece 7. Your first option of the Saker is a good one as well. For pistols, high suppressor height sights are anything but necessary. I thought I'd need them too, but decided to wait until I got my TiRant to...

    AR15 Rifle length gas system

If you're looking for a factory built rifle, that certainly limits your options. If you're building yourself, there are countless directions you could choose. So which are you planning?

    Which 308

Make sure you look at a Tikka as well, very smooth action and a solid factory trigger, and shorter bolt throw. Tikka's have pretty good aftermarket support too.

    Buffer tube spring question.

I don't have a Sig 516 and don't know if the factory spring is over powered, I'd have to doubt that it would be. But as cheap as buffer springs are, just buy a standard one for whichever supplier you like and give it a try. But if it won't run with the gas wide open I'd send it back to...

    Sig P220 Carry SAO

I have 8 sig 220's in all different forms, 3 of which are SAO. Only recommendation is shoot the snot out of it!

    worst recoiling rifle

Feel sorry for this guy whose friends talked him into firing a "recoilless" rifle. http://youtu.be/xk_tsinBcQs Somebody else mentioned 45/70, yeah ... 405gr out of a short Guide Gun at 2200fps is PLENTY for me. 2-3 of those and I'm done.

Whats your go to 9mm load?

Since I'm loading for about 15 different pistols, my all-arounder load is set to 1.13". Some like it a bit longer, others shorter ... that produces good results in all. 115gr Montana CMJ 4.5gr HP-35 Fed 100 primers mixed brass Gets to about 1150fps in a Sig 229, 1220 in my Beretta 92...

Am I crazy? I can't seem to find VTAC slings with QD sling swivels

I think you're right, I bought a few years ago with the sling swivels pre-installed but can't find them now. Now I buy the Blue Force Gear Vickers sling (same design with the quick slider) and loops on each end that are designed to accept sling swivels. Price ends up being a bit less actually...

Beautiful weapon! I'd love to give that a run.

    34gr Bullets in AR?

Just a data point, not meant to prove or disprove anything ... but I pushed 40gr out of a 1:9 twist 223WSSM 24" barrel to 4550 fps and got sub 1/2" 5 shot groups. Basically that was an experiment when I got my Chrono to see how big a number I could put up ;) I have no idea what sort of...

So getting an AR seems unlikely, so...

If you want an AR, just be patient. They will be available from many vendors between now an when/if some sort of new AWB legislation is passed. Or, pay $1500 now for a rifle that was $750 a month ago ... there are plenty of those available. Realistically the only way something gets passed...

    Problems with mental health checks

The biggest problem is that it would still in all cases be a human judgement decision. Do you or anybody else entrust another person, likely a bureaucrat, with safeguarding your 2nd ammendment rights?

Would a Saiga 308 satify your AK itch?

Both my Saiga 308 and Saiga 12 are converted ... since almost all my rifles have pistol grips, I just shoot better that way. I did some custom work on my 308 like fluting the barrel and it made a big difference it how it balances. After the work it's one of my favorite battle rifles, reliable...

    SIG P220 .22 Opinions

My 220 .22LR has been flawless for about 2000 rounds ... and I definately don't clean it often. I was lucky enough to get one when Buds had them for $399 delivered. It's become one of my favorites.

    How to contact Sig Sauer?

I think what they're trying to figure out is why people will spend hours bashing them on the internet, while at the same time say they're too lazy to take 15 minutes and call.

i'm thinking about consolidating all my pistols for one tactical rifle

You can find 556's for much less than $1600-$1800 ... I've seen them lightly used for around $1000. I have a 556 Commando that I love, it's been 100% reliable with no issues what so ever. I don't see any problems with having one as your only 'tactical' rifle, it will certainly fill that role...

    How to contact Sig Sauer?

So you haven't even tried to call them, but can still somehow say their CS is terrible? I've used their CS twice. Both times had a person on the phone inside of 30 seconds, within 5 minutes had the pre-paid return label in my email, and the gun repaired and back in my hands in a week.

Which is stronger, Redhawk or N-frame Smith?

I'd have to think that either of them would have no problem digesting a near infinite diet of hot .45 Colts ... but I don't know specifics of which is stronger in certain areas.
