    Samuel L. Jackson...supports gun ownership?!

Lots of pro-gun Democrats in this country. The "conservative media" just makes it seem like all Democrats are antis. :neener:

    Your Favorite Gun Noises

Dude! Where are you going to practice your golf swing??? :what::neener: Now back on topic, I really like the sound of my Mossberg 930 cycling. Mmm...

Real mall ninja in my area.

Did you get evacuated to the countryside like many of the other children? If not, the Liverpool blitz must have been one heck of a thing for a young child to go thru. And to keep this on-topic, where are the van pictures? :)

    Walther P22 Opinions

I quite like my P22. Occasionally it will fail to feed the second round in a full magazine of ten, but that doesn't much bother me for a plinker. And it's very accurate (for me) with Wally World federal bulk ammunition. At a "medium" rate of fire I can place 8/10 shots on an 8" plate at 25...

1911 Slide won't come off during disassembly

I have the same problem with the slide not coming off on my Kahr M1911A1 GI. The short guide rod or the rotating barrel link gets caught on something inside the slide. If I hold the pistol upside down and give it a few good shakes, whatever is hung up comes loose and the slide comes right off...

    Why Right hand ejection?

And the P38/P1, the "father" of the P5, if you will. You can see the ejector on the left hand side of the slide:

    Today..saw cops w/ guns drawn

Seeing as you are in upstate NY - it wasn't this place by any chance was it? I lived in Clifton Park for 9 years. :) Vegas is full of bad characters. I see people cuffed or getting cuffed or what have you quite frequently out here. It's not the nicest place in the world. :uhoh:

    1911s under $650?

I have one (Kahr made auto-ordnance). Picked it up a few weeks ago for $400. The trigger is very crisp, the slide is tight and everything is well put together, but it shoots low. Like the "GI Spec" pistols tend to do, it doesn't like to feed hollowpoints. The factory magazine is garbage...

Have fanboys ruined a gun for you?

The preferred spelling on the "internets" is "fanboi". :neener: But I digress. I would have to say that fanbois have ruined Glocks for me. That and actually holding a Glock feels a lot like holding a brick. *ducks* :D

Member learns valuable lesson after range accident results in injury

Yeah, that stinks. About 6 weeks ago, I had a hot casing from my M1911A1 land between my temple and my safety glasses. :what: I took my finger off the trigger, kept the muzzle pointed downrange and used my left hand to remove the safety glasses. All that took less then a second or two...

    Creative Gun Ownership for Dummies

"This pistol is the grand daddy of the Sig Sauer line of pistols. If you will notice it has a decocking lever on it on the left side of the gun, it also has an internal hammer. It is known as the Model 38 H and was made from 1938 thru 1945 and was made in .380, 32 and .22LR. It was used by the...

Overloaded Factory Ammo and Damaged Gun

Right-o. Thanks for reassuring me on the split cases. The chamber holds the pressure, but then what is the "case failure" that previous posters have talked about? I always thought case failure only mattered if the breech face was not in contact with the case and chamber. If everything is...

    Does anyone catalog their firearms?

I don't keep written records, but I do take very detailed photographs and store those on a secure site on the internet. I figure if they steal my guns they will also steal my computer. And if the house catches on fire, my computer is gone in that situation as well.

Overloaded Factory Ammo and Damaged Gun

An observation on Wolf ammo from my last trip to the range. I went thru 100 rounds of Wolf 9mm and .45ACP (total of 200 rounds) last time I was at the range. Usually we just leave our casings and the range staff sweeps them up en masse (no tools to pick up casings are provided to us)...

    No Country For Old Men

Agreed. Call it. :uhoh: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TAVEXE6ADcs I noticed Moss clearing the .45 after being in the river, and I thought it was a smart move. You never know what could end up in there after being in a river, and better safe than sorry when it HAS to go bang.
