Looking to pick up a 30-06 for deer, maybe moose, and some target shooting as well. I can get a Marlin xl-7 with the laminated stock for about $420 from a local shop. Just wondering if the xl-7 is worth that kind of cash? I know the syn stock is cheaper, but I'm not much for the syn stocks...
