Saiga 7.62x39 or CMMG M4 Style AR Config.

I live in California. I'm looking at both of these rifles very closely. The Saiga 7.63x39 is simply awesome but then I'm looking at some modifications down the road if and when it's legal. The AR is equally impressive but it has that bullet button which kind of kills it for me... Any suggestions...

Glock Plastic Cleaning Rod For All My Pistols!

Does anyone else use the Glock plastic cleaning rod for other pistols/revolvers etc..? I think it's an excellent tool. The plastic can do no harm to the bore or muzzle if wiped down occasionally.

    S&W 642 Question

I just finished cleaning my new 642 after its first trip to the range. It shot like a laser! It cleaned up very well except for the area on the front of the cylinder and forcing cone area. New S&W 642 Cleaning Question

This is my first revolver. Are there any special guidelines or tips for cleaning/oiling this gun? I have a .38 tynex bore brush and a bunch of cleaning supplies I use for my semi's. I think my plastic Glock bore rod would be perfect for cleaning this gun. I'm very familiar with cleaning...

    642 Grip Question

Does your 642 have a washer attached to the screw on the factory grip? Mine doesn't and as far as I can tell I don't think others I've seen have a washer. I ask because I ordered a replacement grip from S&W and it has a removable metal washer that the screw fits through on the opposite end of...

Uneven Rifling At Mouth Of New 642?

I have a few little issues with my new unfired 642. The forcing cone has a few little burrs on it. They slightly protrude into the bore but are not noticeable when the cylinder is closed. The other issue I have is that the rifling appears to be uneven at the mouth of the bore. Do these issues...

Possible Problem With My New Smith And Wesson 642

I'm new to the forum. I just picked up my new Smith and Wesson 642 yesterday! On the way to the range to shoot it for the first time I noticed something that is of concern. On the forcing cone (opposite muzzle end of bore), which is a rough flat cut, I noticed a couple of very small burrs of...
