fps Im shooting a browning a bolt with a 26inch barrel in 300wsm cal with 165 grain bullet. the books list 24inch barrels for loads tested do you think im gaining fps on my loads with this longer barrel?:)

do longer barrels increase fps . i read some were for every inch past 26inches you get 25 to 30 fps. what do you think?:)

300 wsm 300wsm all the performance with less kick. and lighter because of the shorter action and a little more accurrent uses less powder when handloading saves $s:) just a thought think it over

Ben it does make sence to me. so give me and example of why with the powder increase not fps increase? Just to make it clear Im not about pushing the max. but i do have a load that is over not by much that shoot very well.

chrono Yes i would like to get a chrono. I know it tells you FPS from which you can tell trajectory what else can I learn from one?

I load 300wsm I have found out. Five bullet maker with the same type of bullet i use have different max load. Speer was the lowest at 65 the top charge was 67.5 a differents of 2.5 grain. I dont know if this helps but gives you and idea what different there is between book for this...

I did it Ok boys I clean 89 primer pockets. I put a slot bit in my cordless drill and ran it semi slow it remove all the loose crud that was in there. I think it did a nice job and its quick to boot. Thanks to you all because i would never of thought of it with out your input and I did...

I did read about some one in a outdoors mag that was making and selling shot shells loaded with pepper corns for grouse and like wize. can kill and flavour your game at the same time.

sunray I see you are from ONT do buy from Midway and cabelas? Is it not cheaper to buy on our side of the boarder? Yes 270 brass is cheap enough but nothing is cheaper then free and there is alot of 30-06 brass around because it has been around for just about forever with lot of old army...
