Tell me why I shouldn’t get a Browning BLR in .308.

I wanted a 308 class Lever gun and held a BLR and a Marlin XLR in 308 Marlin Express. I bought the Marlin, and I'm happy with it.

    Another bite at the apple?

Not Mine, picture for reference. In the early 2000's I sold a Lew Horton 2.5" 686M too cheap to fund a Glock 23C. I just had to have the plastic. 😔

Is the Smith & Wesson MP15 in .22 caliber - any opinions?

I’ve had one for about 10 years or so. It’s an excellent rifle, zero problems with it. Back in the bump stock days it would empty a magazine in about 2 seconds (probably less than 2) if you held it light enough.

I was forced to buy a handgun today

I’d be tempted to have bought all three of those. You should still go back for the P32.

    Kahr P9 - impressed

I had High hopes for the P9 I bought New in 2002 ish. It wouldn’t shoot a mag without a stovepipe. I Called Kahr‘s CS and they said that some guns do that and to increase the breakin to 500 rounds and see if that helps. I got So frustrated even trying to got to 500 rounds I sold It for a loss.

    Your 'Rodney Dangerfield' guns.

    Good over/under other than a big "B"

I have an older Japanese made SKB that is quite nice and a Yildiz from Academy that's functional, but no frills. I do like the CZ branded guns made in Turkey, they are worth a look.

    686-4 2.5" questions

I let a 2 1/2" 686M No Dash get away from me when i was younger for drastically less than that amount. I REALLY wanted that Glock 23C though.

Houston folks....Is Collector's Firearms a good place to purchase from?

It’s a huge Gun store, even their old smaller location was huge. I’ve bought new and used from them in person and have zero issues.

    Springfield SA-35 availability?

I've seen ONE at a gun show in South Texas. Priced at MSRP. He said his distributor made him buy 10 other Springfield products (Saint AR rifles and Pistols) to be able to buy the SA-35

    Do younger shooters buy revolvers?

I’m 38, so just outside the Millennial range. My first pistol was a used 686 2 1/2”. I was working as a ranch hand at the time and a revolver just seemed “right”. I sold it to my Dad to buy a Glock 23 and waited about 20 years to buy another revolver. I bought a 4” GP 100 last year and have...

What's the cheapest gun you have that has given you the most enjoyment given it's price point?

Marlin model 60. It’s had hundreds of thousands of bulk pack rounds thru it. My dad bought it for me at Service Merchandise in ‘91 on the day we started the air war in Iraq. I was 11. We came home and watched the war all night on TV.

Not just fighter jets. Civilian airliners have them too.

Your cheapest brand new shotgun you bought?

I have one just like it the "persuader" model. However my cheapest is a Stephens Model 320 that was $159 on sale at Academy for Black Friday.

One gun you regret selling and...

I had the EXACT same experience with Kahr "warranty" back on '01 or '02 on a brand new P9

    Reason to stop carrying?

If the three of them had received 1 to 2 hits per person ( assuming an outstanding hit ratio under stress) their determination and plans probably would have changed a bit.
