    Handgun as club

Well, this question occurred to me the other day, not exactly as OP stated, but 3 people burned to death in a car. Guy was there trying to get them out but couldn't break the window. I've started carrying an automotive fire extinguisher along with the 1911, either one would be able to break a...

does anyone under the age of 27 have this strange affinity for 1911's?

I'm 25, Yup I sure do like the 1911. I don't really know how to explain it but It just clicked for me one day. Its the one firearm that I have, I know I could fix if I had the tools and parts. I enjoy the single stack design. I pack a government model everyday.

What do yall think of this safe?

They are a great deal. I worked at DSG for about a year til I landed a better job. Those safes were a really good deal. You should be able to get that one sale for 599. I assume the prices would be the same as the store I worked in as nationally. I never heard anyone complain about that model...

Thinking of Springfield 1911 Mil Spec thouhgts?

I have a stainless Mil-Spec and its been really reliable. I have the 5" model and it's really nice to have "real" 1911 after owning this model my desire for the beaver tails and the other gadgets has certainly diminished. I don't think you'll regret buying a SA pistol either their customer...

What caliber did you carry today

.45acp in a SA 1911 SS Mil-Spec Govt. Though It is a toss up between the P01 in 9mm (Buffalo Bore 115 +p+), or the 638 .38 special +p Speer (Gold Dot)

    Opinions of Springfield GI 1911

Instead of the Hi-Cap I'd look at the Mil-Spec version. Parkerized and a stainless barrel.

    Which 1911: $600-750

SA Mil-Spec I really like my Mil-Spec. I have the Stainless version and I have no complaints. I like the fact that its basic but if I should choose I can get anything I want done to it and still be under their factory warranty. -Phil
